Turbos

Sometimes its nice to just brush the throttle and gain the speed you want rather than have to work the car hard.

But by the same token it's nice to work an engine hard that thrives on it and doesn't sound like its going to blow up.

Different things appeal really, I drive fast everywhere so I dont mind having to work for it.

Are ya with me Joshy? lol.

Sort of ;)

I'm not with you on your hate of seemingly every 911 on the planet. I like Porsches, really, I do, but £20k doesn't buy good examples of the Porsches that I grew up lusting over. 20k buys you what? A good 996 Carrera 2? I can only go off of what I've read and seen in videos, but I can't see a Carrera 2 exciting me whatsoever.

If It was a Turbo of any generation I'd switch sides so quickly it'd make your head spin... but of course that is mainly because Turbo > NA ;).

And im hoping you die of Aids, but whatever.

Totally which is why I've been careful to say its my opinion because quite obviously, VTEC is good and some people love it. It just isnt for me - nor quite a few other people - and I felt it helpful to explain why.

You mean 155 limiter. And no because my 9k Honda does the same to 150 and revs to 8600 so i win.

Oh thats a shame Princey Astra then?

Wow Smokey, you picked up pace pretty good after I burned your last argument, and I was thinking you might have seen sense.

Used to. Will have a nice lazy 6.0l V8 in a few days though :) Anyway the VXR was exactly what I wanted from a car, it was 300bhp and 370lb/ft and silly fast in a straight line. I get my smiles from being pinned back not pinned against the door. Each to their own.

Seems the Type R brand is going backwards - we appear to be at Type P ... Type Plonker.

The NSX is great however the real special one cannot be bought for sub £100k so I'll stick with the schoolboy dream that is a 911 at that sort of money - brand new aswell!

What is it with this influx of Honda owner retards?
