Chilean rescue mission on BBC news in 6 hours

Those capsules look great...fully kitted out with lights, fibre optics, comms systems, camera, O2 tanks, biometric monitoring....man them Chileans dont mess about!!! Brilliant rescue effort.

Looks like the rescue only begins at about 0200hrs or so our time. Stupid work would love to have stayed up and watched what is going to be a historic event.

Defo 10/10 for enthusiasm for you Katana! :D

Hey im at home, not very often i get to play civ5 :D

I thought it was going to start at midnight ish, but 2am jeezo. A while yet.

Haha! I dunno...when they showed the capsule I was actually clapping....!

If this was a Fri I would have defo stayed up...Im bummed at having to go to bed now anyways...but I know what its like to be at work all day nodding off at desk....and to top it all off I sit just behind the boss :(

As for the counter on Sky = blah....what are they thinking!!

Even when they have sent a crew of 25 to cover it and Sky has sent 9 :D

This story has been in the news for months, and has a mass of planning about it.

I stilll stand by what I said. The BBC are terrible at reporting breaking news, even in our country. They rely on wire reports with a massive lack of on the ground crew for breaking stories.

Good luck miners!

so surely it would be best to watch sky until bbc get it, then switch over bbc news so you don't get adverts plus imo a better news report?

I agree with you. I just think it's sort of funny that the BBC send so many people yet Sky seem to be doing it better.

'this is a high tech resuce mission'

theyve done well to set it up and its taken some expertise to organise, but its hardly a nasa space rocket they're sending down there. Way too much over hyping and detail in the news haha

Jokes aside, ive been reading up on this all evening and im completely behind the rescue attempt now!

If it fails ill be completely gutted, as would the miners would be I imagine!
