Anyone else had BT Infinity sales calls?

Our exchange is one of the largest in Wales and it's not even on the map to be enabled.

That pretty much puts it 2012 at the earliest

My area, housing estate is a joke it's only about 14 years old they never installed cable when they built it, BB is only 2.5meg and just checked for infinity and its not even on the enable list. We arn't even that far as the crow flys from the exchange :(

Aye it's up to 40mb, I didn't think HCL had any sales desks like, depending on your area it may be possible to get FTTP instead of FTTC

They sure are. There on 25p more an hour than me + Bonuses and I play about with Knowledge bases CIM back-end systems and design and maintain 3 websites.

Tis a Joke. But then again according to HR im still an agent, if I complain Im told to like it or lump it. (my own fault for trying to go somewhere in life)

They also get a bonus per sale. We have a few BT outbound projects here. Cant remember exactly what. I will never do it as I hate being pushy and don't want to be back on the phones

Apologies, slightly off topic but this isn't a well know "Customer Management Centre" in Kdy next to Sainsbury's with a high staff turn over you're talking about is it?

lol its gonna feel like a life time for me waiting for 40Mb speed at all. Although, i am happy with with my 6/7 Mb that i currently receive.

I have to admit my speed is much much better than dial up!! :D

Rochdale has supposedly been done according to some sources. But others state Dec 31 2010

So I headed to Samknows and it says the exchange is enabled, yet BT don't offer it here yet
For some reason a load of the ones which have physically been done aren't getting turned on until the 31st

was wondering why it said 20mb download for me

Thanks but no Thanks BT

I'm sticking with my 50mb Virgin Fibre Internet.

Aye MGt LOL. turn over is unreal but then what do you expect from the way they treat people. Like I say i self taught myself HTML and all other aspects I know of Computers (like most do) they saw my potential and put me to work with a Knowledge base engineer. Ive asked about getting my contract reflecting my role but get no where. you could argue that i could go looking for jobs but being self taught and working in builders merchants prior to this I dont have qualifications. One of our works "Saviour's" is paywizard.com I had a bit to do with that but I dont see it going anywhere.

Back on track. BT here has an alarming rate of staff through its doors but more so because people come and find out sales is not for them.

I couldn't comment on the product though as Im with Virgin Media and don't intend on changing. Interested in what it is and whats being offered but that's only because im interested in computers and such.

bah I cast my vote for my exchange

21 people out of 32339 have voted..I will be retired by the time I get it!

Whats really annoying is that its enabled at my exchange but not available to me. I only get 1.8 poxy mb :(

My dad just upgraded to this from his crappy 1.nothing mb connection. He's 72 and plays WoW so is very excited about his new fast internet connection :p

exchange isn't what's relevant, every cabinet needs new stuff putting in it, as far as they're telling their wholesale clients all the scheduled dates are now accurate.

Hmm is it possible to find a scheduled date for my one then? Its the Brentwood, Essex exchange :)

Spanks.

you are on this FTTC ?? i thought it was 40mb down and 10 up ?

No, I am currently on Virgin 10Mb. But I might consider going down this route in the near future.

I'm not sure, but those speeds would probably be comparable to what I get at the moment. Need to weigh up if it's worth the change.
