Disneyland Paris

The one in florida is really good, the french one, well, I've not been, I imagine it's a bit like a more expensive, less impressive version of blackpool pleasure beach.

With french people.

It's not a bad place, costly that's true (especially for food and alcohol) but there is a Auchan (supermarket/hypermarche) within 5 mins by car so you can get lots of food/drink there for very good prices (and far cheaper diesel than the uk - for now).

Currently you can get up to 40% off if you book before the end of November depending on the Hotel you choose (and you get the extra magic hours included so 2 hours before in the main park before it opens to the public in 2 areas so can get a lot of rides done without queues).

Haven't noticed queue jumping or people being arrogant really apart from the meet the character queues for the children/adults who have the urge...

Some of the park/rides in Disneyland Paris are better/newer than their American versions as well and the main park is one of the largest in the world I think (there are only the 2 though compared to amount in Florida). The food variation in park has got a lot better over the years but it's still very pricey and you can goto the restaurants if you fancy something different but they come with another hike in prices.

For a short trip it's cheaper than Florida (depending on how you eat/drink) and closer, but there is also less to do and the weather is not as nice. Depending on how many of you are going, if you have children, which rides you want to do would decide how long you really want to go for.

Florida makes sense for anything over a week as other than expenses whilst there the initial cost of getting there/hotel doesn't change a huge amount to up it from 1 week to 2.

If you haven't been before it's worth going, we like it and our children love it, we all prefer Florida but for a few days away its definately worth it and you can't compare it to any park in the UK really.

It's easy to drive there as well, especially if you have a Tesco clubcard as can get the Eurotunnel for clubcard points and be there before lunch :) also not stopping on the motorways for fuel and filling up at the Auchan helps :)

I went on a coach holiday with my ex, some 6 years ago.

£150 for hotel, travel and 2 day ticket to the parks (MGM & Magic Kingdom). It's nowt on Florida, but then what is?

I wouldnt go back to Disneyland Paris. Even for just a week, I'd prefer to make the longer journey to Florida tbh.

I'm thinking of making the same trip. Young un doesn't care whether it is Florida or Paris, and as I don't want to go to either he gets the cheapest :p

I personally prefer Disneyland Paris.

1) Every ride Paris has is better then the equivalent ride in WDW.
2) Better food.
3) Better winter weather, winter is awesome with real snow.
4) Much easier to get to and get around when there.

exactly, if the kids don't mind then do the easiest/cheapest, not really places for adults anyway

I'm taking the GF to Paris in March, seemed to be a good compromise between price (for 3 nights) and the weather starting to become more clement.

Having just got back from Orlando (she didn't come with me) I don't expect it to hold a candle, but she deems it as "unfair" that I got to go to Disney and she didn't. :p

I'm going in January for three nights. Girlfriend has REALLY been pestering me to go over the past few months so for her birthday I thought "Why not?".

Cost me just under £600 half board for the two of us. That's flights from Exeter, connections, hotel on the park and food included, as well as return trip.

As for how much it'll cost when i'm there? Ask me in 3 months. :p

I presume you mean 600 each no way can you do it for less. (unless you know someone who knows someone....)

I've been toying with the idea of going in April for a week with the kids, but looking on the Disney site it was gonna cost around 2k all in all - seemed a little steep to me or is that about right? (2 adults, 3 kids)

youve clearly never been to disneyworld then? because if you did you only went to one of the parks or smoked a lot of meth while you were over there

you need a lot of money when your there though as park passes arent included

Disneyland Paris.
paris is a right rip off, get down the co-op travel and see how cheap you can do florida for a week it would probably cost about the same as paris depending on when you want to go.

where going back in october next year which i think is considered off season but it will still be better wether than the UK

I have been twice, however compared to California, Florida is not that amazing.

Its just not as good, having been to Disneyland, Anaheim and Disneyland Paris before Disneyworld.

I didnt want this to be a "spec me thread" but...

Does anyone know the cheapest to get a holiday at Disneyland Paris for 5 days? I just need to know if anyone knows the cheapest time to go and if anyone has used any reputable companies that sell holidays there.

Thanks i advance

I work for Eurostar and constantly book holidays there, ask anything you like. or mail in trust.

Its really odd having the characters talk to you in French mind. Also all the shows are in french etc
