HTC Desire HD (Ace)

Rather strange, I Wednesday I ordered a Desire Z from mpd on O2 which was fine, I've now just been back to the website to check something out and O2 is no longer listed as available on the Desire Z page...

Any one have any idea why this might be, and will it affect my order?

In fact looking further, they are only listing O2 on the HTC Wildfire, not on any of the other HTC phones?!?!?

Could you tell me more about the voice app? will it conflict with my car bluetooth system?

Bluetooth voice dial works for me, I have a VW Touch Kit in my Golf and I just press voice dial on the touch screen and say "Dial <name>" and it dials fine :)

rumours are that some have landed on customer doorsteps in Holland.

a mirror for the pics http://shadowservices.biz/pics/

EDIT: the guy who owns the phone and uploaded the pics had 5gb of bandwidth a month. Today he's used 43gb so far! Hence the new link

Waiting on more images and stuff to confirm.

They need some competition. I found T-Mobile to be awesome on pricing. Especially with the monthly free bolt-on. Check them out.

any early adopters always pay more..this is the premium android phone on the market now and so you will be expected to pay a bit more for it

as its becomes more widely available and market competition increases prices should fall or deals will be made available
I notice 18 month contracts are becoming less favourable anyway and on the big money phones 24 month contracts have better deals to tie people down for a few more months

I suspect stock levels will be trickling through as well as it somehow drives people to snap up these sorts of devices..if its seen as hard to get for some reason the desire(!) to get one becomes even stronger..just look at way the origonal desire was snapped up as soon as handsets became available

that 40 ppm contract you have listed was only 35 quid for me on an upgrade pre-order plus 20% employee benefit programme and it becomes cheaper than my current contract with my crappy tocco ultra

I spoke to Vodafone yesterday and they said this phone should start shipping within 1-2 working days. Lets hope that's right, my current phone is just about dead.

Anybody discussed 18 months or 12 months with voda? I would probably be prepared to pay £150 or so for the phone now to just take a 12 month contract. Can't stand these long contracts as I travel a lot and my phones get mangled. My magic is held together with hope and palm sweat at the moment.

All of Vodafone upgrade options are dire to be honest. Better off, selling your phone / recycling it to get cash to pay off the remainder of the contract. That's what I'm planning on doing with my HTC Magic.

Just need to decide when to order from MPD. Thinking sooner rather than later.

If demand is as high as they are claiming it may already be too late for the first batch. That though could well be just hype to get people to buy it for fear of missing out for a week or two.

I'd imagine demand is high for the first batch, but there's no need to panic. Personally I'm out of contract on Monday but I'm still not going to rush into anything. I'd rather wait and see if there are any teething issues and let some decent deals trickle through.
