Disneyland Paris

Yeah, March is setting me back £469 for 3 days for 2 people for the hotel and parks.

I'll be driving over so I can "stock up" on the way back :)

It might be worth booking everything separate, as sometimes it works out cheaper than a package deal.

Hotel - I recommend the Kyriad hotel if you're on a budget. It is the cheapest Disney recommended hotel and only takes 5 mins on the free shuttle bus to get to the park. It is rated 2 stars but I think it was even better than when I stayed at the Disney Manhatten hotel (4*).

Park passes - Seeing as you're going for 5 days, you might as well buy an annual pass for £100.

I remember when I worked for a travel agent... Called up Disneyland Paris booking line and quoted the ABTA number..... you get 3 days/2 nights at any Disneyland Paris hotel + 2 days park entrance for £75 per person for up to 4 people. If you know anyone who works for a travel agent, you should drag them along to get a good discount :D

^^ This is very true, I get great deals at Disney! and a lot of other places too!

Where did you book? Direct?

Direct will most of the time be cheapest.

Book via Topcashback / Quidco to get 4.5% back.

But check transport to make sure budget airlines / Eurostar are not cheaper on there own.

I used to work for the Mouse, and have been to Florida and Paris, and have a couple of words of advice:

I've been in both December and June. Don't stay in a Disney hotel. Stay in one of the "Disney selected" hotels - last time I went I stayed at the 4* Dream Castle Hotel (£83 per night B and B, for the room), and it was much cheaper than the first time I went, stayed at Disney's 2* Santa Fe (£98 per night B and B for the room).

Booked my flight and hotels separately on Expedia.

You still get the park shuttle buses, your hotel has a Disney Store, you can get any shopping you buy in the park sent to your hotel so you don't have to traise round with it all day. The only downside is that there are 4 selected hotels and they all share a shuttle bus, whereas the Disney hotels have a bus for each hotel, so it can get busy in the mornings and evenings when everyone heads to/from the park.

If you fly, get the Disney coach to the parks and hotels. It was €14 last time I went and well worth it, from Paris CDG it's about 40 mins if I remember rightly.

If you're going in January, PACK FOR THE COLD! I really underestimated just how cold it gets there - where the park is, is actually quite remote, prone to freezing fog - I've never been as cold, even when I was skiing in Austria.

Definitely get on Tower of Terror, Space Mountain (better than Florida), Rock n Roller Coaster (my personal fave) - Walt Disney Studios tends to be better for thrill rides while Disneyland Park is more family orientated, but having said that, last time I went the Studios didn't have a great deal more to see than the 3 or 4 thrill rides it has.

I wouldn't plan to spend 5 days in the parks. There's really not enough there. If you're staying 5 days, I'd spend 2 days in the parks and then spend the other 3 going into Paris or other attractions around - Disneyland has a train station called Marne-la-Vallé/Chessy which provides easy access on the TGV into Paris.

If you need to keep costs down, like I did last time I went (was a student, couldn't have afforded to go tbh but the perks of working for the company meant I got quite hefty discounts on everything ;) ) then really fill up at breakfast time, then you'll just need something snack-like at lunchtime like a panini or burger or something rather than going for a meal in one of the restaurants, and the restaurants in the Disney Village sometimes do Early Bird deals at dinnertime.

Don't bother with the Wild West Show - really not worth it for the price. Thank god I got my ticket reduced from €69 to €20 or I'd have been pretty ****** off with it!

Have fun, it'll never compare to Florida (as I'm sure you've gathered from the people on here) but that doesn't mean it's not worth a visit!

For £600? Maybe just the flights...

No, all in for both of us, was £576 to be precise.

if it was 600 per person you could get a 3 star disney hotel + flights for orlando (7nights)

park passes etc arent included though so it realisticly costs a few hundred more

Email my trust and I can sort out some cheap tickets to Disneyland Paris. I work for Eurostar and can give you some advice.

Agreed - I did Disneyland Paris on the cheap a few years back. Stayed in the Kyriad which is only a few mins on the shuttle bus. Its clean and friendly and very cheap.

I didnt want this to be a "spec me thread" but...

Does anyone know the cheapest to get a holiday at Disneyland Paris for 5 days? I just need to know if anyone knows the cheapest time to go and if anyone has used any reputable companies that sell holidays there.

Thanks i advance

Just booked Disneyland Paris for 5days 4 nights with travel house, for 2 adults 2 children. Going on Januray 31st. Included is:

4nights B+B in the Sequoia lodge hotel
Park tickets for the 5 days
Flights

£225 PP or £900 for all 4 of us (one child is 15 the other is 7)

Pretty good price i think

I went to both disneyland and asterix land on the same trip to Paris...

The whole family preferred asterix land, we all concluded the rides were better, disneyland has more "spectacle" but for ride quality its beaten soundly by asterix.

Flying to Disney is madness when the Eurostar pulls up literally outside the gates of Disney.....why pay taxi fee's from the airport? Plus being restricted by how much and what you can take on baord?

Depends where you live surely... I would rather fly from Leeds-Bradford airport (about 30 mins from my house) than have to make my way down to the Eurostar about 6 hours away.
