UFC 120: Bisping vs Akiyama **SPOILERS**

No way back for Daley, he acted like a thug. He's just another mediocre British stand up fighter with no wrestling, take down defence, ground game or professionalism.

Quite enjoyed seeing Hardy knocked on his ass. Would like to see Bisping back at light heavyweight, his punch resistance has been non existant since he dropped to middleweight.

Very poor event, glad I didn't pay for a ticket.

Not against anyone of note though and I can see Smith knocking him out in Strikeforce.

Paul Sass looked pretty good, especially on the floor, which has cheered me up a bit.

I think Smith is going to get busted up badly on the feet there, Daley is an outstanding striker, and although Smith can take a punch (or a kick when he fights Cung Le) I think Daley wins this one all night long, and twice on Sundays. However, given the way my predictions have been going lately...

I actually think Strikeforce makes better sense for Paul Daley at the moment anyway, they just Shields who was by far the most accomplished wrestler, and all thats left are a lot of strikers. Diaz, Noons (if he stays at 170), Cung Le, Smith - all guys that Paul Daley can beat on the feet.

Sass is a one trick pony at the moment, non existant stand-up, and what is that, 10 in a row by triangle now? He will hit a roadblock when he comes up against a guy with decent wrestling who can resist he attempts to jump guard, and hurt him on the feet.

Wasn't a bad card, however I felt everyone was trying not to lose, rather than win, bar the Hardy fight. Looking forward to UFC 125 on January 1st. Oh, and next week as well.

Loved the Condit KO, I knew he would beat Hardy but assumed it would be by sub not KO, either way it was awesome.

Bisping just doesn't have what it takes to be a champ, just not enough power.

Rather OT (but more interesting IMO than the last couple of UFCs have been) but i assume everyone knows that Arianny Celeste is on the cover of this month's Playboy.

As usual us brits on the loosing streak, but was surprised sexyama was able too take those shots but as a poster said above perhaps its just bispings weak punches ?

Perhaps Sexyama should have erected his left shoulder and just wildly hitted Bispings circling to the left with a henderson right hander.

Sexyama perhaps should have just got within his guard and up to his face and put bisping out, I actually wish he did !

I give hardy some credit he wanted too put on a show and clearly wasnt holding back much just a shame Condit got the better of his game showing his striking was better on the night....

Anyhow this ufc was at least better then frank mirs UFC, I think with next saturdays card its perhaps the best UFC event for this year ? Koshcheck/GSP will be fun though...

Hardy result sucked, was gutted on the night :(

Glad Bisping pulled it back for the Brits though, would have been a disaster if he had gotten beat as well.

All in all, pretty gash card and event imo. I didn't think it would be up to much before, and it proved to be the case.

Next weeks however, should be an absolute blinder.

Awful card, so glad I bottled it and didnt go.

I wouldnt be suprised if James Wilks gets cut, if they can cut Escudero that quickly I wouldnt be suprised if he goes as well!.

If Bisping goes against anyone who's top 5 in the MW division he will get Butchered.

So looking forward to next weeks :D - could be the best UFC of this year.

To be fair, Efrain turned up overweight, failed to make the cut and then lost his fight on UFC Fight Nights. He deserved it.

I think we'll se McSweeney getting cut just before Wilks, his drop to LHW was definitely unsuccessful !

Obviously a bit different to a TUF winner mind

Wilks is pretty good at BJJ but neither of them are really UFC calibre material right now and they should probably drop them both. There are better UK guys like Che Mills who was unlucky on TUF.

We need to employ some yanks to start some wrestling schools over here.

Definitely, that's what always seems to be lacking when UK fighters go international.

BJJ as you said is ok (but not enough experienced people around me :/)

I guess they could consider going to commonwealth/olympic wrestling coaches, surely there must be some good ones around the country ?

If Brits really want to be successful they really need to move to the US to train, we do have some good camps here don't get me wrong and we have people who are nearing the top, but they just don't have the calibre of trainers and training partners in this country to rival those in America, Brazil and Japan.

I know some fighters already train there, but I don't see Mcsweeney ever being the real deal no matter where he trains. Wilks too, he is pretty one dimensional and needs a lot of work.
