Hello all, I have tryed to install a second HD into my system and when I first set it all up everything was fine it detected in BIOS and in windows.
But I powered up the other day and the second drive was no where to be seen not in BIOS or windos. my system spec is in my sig. can not work out why this has happened or ho to fix it. The drive is getting power.
Any help or advise please.

Right Click 'Computer'
Click 'Manage'
Select 'Disk Management'

See if it shows up there.

Well tryed looking there. It is not getting picked up in Windows.
I know the is ok as it used to be my main drive before I upgraded my boot drive, it is not even being picked up by the bois I know the drive is getting power and spining up.
At the min I have my storage config in bios set to IDE at the moment. I have tryed changing it too AHCI and the drive then gets picked up on sata 5 port but then I blue screen on boot saying disk corupt try scan disk.
I am at a loss as to what to try now.

Try connecting it to a different sata port and a different sata power connector. Same thing happened to me when I added my SSD, both drives just disappeared until I fiddled round with cables.
