What Video game genre's do not interest you?

A lot of hate for beat em ups, which is a shame as they require far more intelligence that FPS games to excel at, and there are tournaments (real ones, not online ones) all over the UK.

Not forgetting, Button mashing can still be fun when your mates dont know anything about it, especially tekken.

Rpg's

Whats the point in levelling up when everything else levels up as well. Only one I've ever liked is Kotor and a bit of too human.

GTA type games with loads of missions.

Because they are like cs source stop playing for a week and you are a noob again.

Have to play them all the time to get semi decent and stay frosty.

the majority of sports games. If i want to play a sport, i'll...go and play a sport.

Driving games. I used to play a fair few but now they just bore me to tears. Going round in circles is not my idea of fun.

Single player (i stress the single player part) open world games. I can't stand the ones that give you to much freedom. I find myself wondering what to do next, as once you've explored a bit, gone on a rampage, pillaged a few towns, it all becomes a bit samey :(. GTA and Oblivion are the main culprits i've played. I think the concept only works well when you have other players involved, who influence the world.

Also while i'm a big RPG fan, i despise ones in the genre that insist on grinding, which is probably why i can't stand WoW tbh. Spending hours killing the same thing over and over again, in the same spot bores me. RPG's are about exploration, not standing in one spot slapping a monster in its face with your sword.

Party/Music games, you know the sort. I dunno, i just don't see the appeal in stuff like Guitar Hero or Rock Band, I'd rather learn a proper instrument. Always reminded of the South Park episode that parodies guitar hero when i think of it.

I only play Driving games, be it bikes or cars, sim or arcade i love them... I dont like any other genre.

Sandbox.

I like a strong story and sandbox always takes away from them. Yes there are sandbox games with a good story but i argue a more linear game would have been able to progress the story better.

I play FPS games, but I get bored with them after a short time. Like MW2.

Not a big fan of un-realistic fantasy nonsense.

I like 3rd person adventure/action games like Uncharted/2. (If thats the correct genre term for that game ).

Football games. I just can't stand them. I can't stand Japanese RPGs either, because they are so juvenile in design. There's only ever been one strict exception, and that's because any other game I've tried just doesn't even hold a candle to it.

Got to be Shenmue :)

Anything that's dependant on rhythm or music!!! All the dance mat games and guitar hero type games make kittens cry in my eyes... (plus im so so bad at all of them)

What does that even mean

It's got a mature tone to it that's for certain, more so than most games out there. There's political story going on aswell as a lot of other mature topics.

Oh and you have sex with women in return for cards which display them in provocative poses!

But I wouldnt say its the most mature out there, I mean its on the same level as mass effect and dragonage.

Although, I would say Witcher is certainly darker and has a gothic feeling throughout. I love the game to be honest :p
