Call of Duty: Black Ops

Wow I wish I could post up news of this apparent leak here, it makes for some great reading......... gonna try and find a clean source to link........

Didnt realise that Black ops has the most pre orders ever in history. Am starting to think I should get my order now.

Havent seen much about the leak, am sure itl go viral...

I'ts amusing reading on the forums this all came from, they are all stating that they are all going to buy the game anyway.

The flaming the guy that was mentioned who was in contact with JD in that article is getting is unreal I have never seen it so bad.

There is a bit more to the story then the article says.

They posted up last night that this guy who had stolen the copies had one for sale for $400, so the forum got tegether and managed to get $250ish dollars together at about 10pm US time last night to purchase the game via paypal to that Ungodely Leaker (who was going to handle the uploading) he then posted to find someone who lived close to get the game, in steps another guy 'computermachineguy' who then says that he will foot the difference and go collect the game imediately (he even posted what car he was using to collect the game). Anyway JD2020 got knews of all of this and was watching the forum like a hawk he then joined the forum and PM'd all the staff etc etc. this got him banned.

Then he managed to get hold of one of the forum users on twitter and eventually got in contact with him over the phone. Apparently this was the point that the authorities were notified to be on the lookout for the car (as the guy had allready posted what car he was in stupidly) in the area the game was being picked up from (this info was also posted for all to see) as the game is stolen property. Hours went by and the forum was so heavy with traffic a refresh on the thread added 2-3 pages and nobody heard anything.

About 2 hours agao a post popped up saying that ungodly leaker had gone in to hiding and that the guy who was handling the gmae no longer had it, currently no one knows where it is if Tryarch have it or the leaker.........who knows but one thing is sure it's not going to be uploaded, the site apparently will be imediately taken down if it is.

I was on the forum reading all of this as it was going on, and reading JD2020 posts at the same time (of course he was imediatley called a troll and flamed)

Infact it's still going on now.

Funny thing was that JD was more concerned about the ending of the SP being spoiled and that it was too early to be leaked, he actually posted that if it was just a week or less before release he wouldn't have done anything about it. 0o

EDIT: looks like all threads have been deleted now on there so it's all over.

currently 1:0 to Treyarch, this would never have happend if IW were behind the game lol

Activison know the money is on MP hence the overpriced game, Fifa 11 fastest selling game with supermarket offering it at £29.97+

Ban hammer will be out for Black ops online unless they got sloppy and not implemented any software to country someone bascallally working into a printing press and stealing a game after all the hardwork, its not even like thats new, every game appears early due to people getting greedy and selling on to pirates.
 
Its theft at the end of the day.

I wouldnt expect them to react any differently.

This isnt ground breaking news of MPs expenses leaked for the greater good, its been done to defraud the makers of money and no doubt make some for himself at their expense.
 
That is a pretty epic story!

Anyone know any more? It's almost film material.

Props to Treyarch for going after them like this.
 
That kind of makes sense. Fair play to them, these forums where it's discssed aren't exactly hard to find once you know of one.
