There are a couple of other versions of that GIF with coloured limbs that make it only work one way or the other, so you can see how and why it works. It's down to which limbs your brain perceives as being in front IIRC.

With the girl spinning one try looking off from the pisture a bit, looking at Fidget's sig made her spin the other way sometimes.

If I look at the post above this gif, concerntrate dead center of the post, I can make them all spin one way or another.. It's so very cleverly done especially as you can change her direction in your mind!

However when spinning all the same directions, the faces outlined are looking opposite ways, so the face on the left may be staring at me but on the right all I see is the hair outline and visa verca.

If I focus on either left or right image of the lady, after a moment the opposite one appears to fall into sync in my peripheral vision. Anyone else get that?

The coloured ones you can't change, the middle one you can. The coloured ones are there only to demonstrate why the middle one can appear to be spinning both ways.

That spinning woman is annoying to figure out. I spent ages trying to see it go counter clockwise but couldn't manage until that explanation was posted.
