Nice things you've done for people.

But on topic, nicest thing I've done for someone is save their dog from drowning.

Silly thing must have jumped/fell off the cliff saw the tail an thought it was just swimming till I saw the guy on the cliff pointing at the dog frantically so swam out an got it, it had at least a broken front leg amazed it had kept afloat long enough for me to get to it.

Guy said thanks an quickly carried the dog off to get it to the vets.

Nice dog though, must have been in a lot of pain and especially if it had any dmg to it's ribs i must have caused some more brining it in but it didn't bark, growl or try to bite me.

aww, aren't you the best :D

Oh and I think OP needs to watch "The Real Hustle" :p

I have watched it, quite a few times infact. I am pretty annoyed at myself, as it's the first time I've been involved in such a situation. I should have just ignored her.

You're a sap really, you saw she was fit and your **** responded to her.
lol :D

Fortunately I have a ****-proof wallet (it's like a leather clad bear trap). The odd junky might get a few coins though.

Last good deed I did? I did a fairly loud fart in the pub on Monday then promptly downed my beer and headed for the door. Does that count?

The worst are beggars that want some money for food, you offer them a sandwich but they refuse and ask for money instead. We all know what they need the money for.

I used to work behind a bar. A group of girls came in already slightly drunk. There was a bit of harmful flirting going on between me and a couple of them.

Anyways we kicked everyone out as it was closing time. I did my duties and left to get in my car. Saw her a bit distressed on the phone on her own, popped over to see if she was ok. She asked me for a lift up the road as her friends had ditched her. Gave her a lift home then was invited in for tea and crumpets.

WIN!

See, good deeds do pay off.

Ha, reminds me of a couple occasions, when I was in New York, my mum decided to give 4 apples to a homeless woman and kid. They threw them back at her! "I don't know why they threw them, I'd be so happy with apples! They were nice ones!" Poor mum.

Secondly, tramp outside a Co-op begging for money, went into the shop, bought him a reduced loaf of bread, down to 25p or something. It was HOVIS! Gave it to him and he shouted at me "I don't want your charity!". I just said "I thought you wanted money!?!?" Came to the conclusion he was quite obviously saving for a Mac.

I write free bits for peoples' web sites quite a lot. Copy, articles and more. In fact I have quite a lot of free stuff out there on the net at the moment!

I do the same, although in fairness I do it because I enjoy it, and I can also stick it on my CV under "other interests"...it's nothing to do with the kindness of my heart :)

Hehe nice one. It's nice seeing your stuff in print, too. I get less-and-less free time to give away now, though. :(

One of the times I was in NYC we'd been into Ray's Pizza and eaten it in there. I think as it was late and near closing they gave us epic amounts, as I'm sure even american portion sizes aren't that big :p.
Had loads left over, so we took it with us with the intention on giving it to one of the beggars we'd passed every day on the way back to Marriott.

Why the one time when you're looking for a beggar, and have some hot food to given them, could we not find a single one  :(.

Of all the things to save it had to be a dog :(

Couldn't have been a hot girl in a skimpy bikini who fell off her yacht :o:cool:

But surely, if it had been a hot girl, you would have had trouble swimming... and then, trying to keep hold of her on the way back.. she would have noticed lol at least the dog wouldn't tell on you
