Hey, I just noticed an extremely bright star to the right of the moon, anyone know what it might be? If you look outside, can you see it?

No I said to the right of the moon. I'm wondering if it could be a planet or the north star or something like that. It's way more prominent than other stars.

It's been visible for a while hasn't it? Or was it a different planet over the past month or so?

I'm pretty much completely ignorant of this sort of thing.

As far as I was aware there's plenty of planets are visible to the naked eye if you know where they are in the sky at any given time.

you can see it on yorkshire and it is mega mega bright!!

like a big round bright mini sun!!

looks awesome wish i had some binos could check out its moons too!

Been visible for a good few months in the east moving to the south, but it is rising higher, earlier, so it is easier to see at the moment.

If the Moon wasn't so close then i would get out the telescope :(

Yep. Below and to the right is Jupiter and in between those two will be Uranus but that isn't visible with the naked eye.

I'm looking at Jupiter? That's what I was wondering because I saw this picture before posting here. Scroll down to 'Dusk, Oct 19-22nd'
