What are the phrases you live your life by?

No matter how bad things may seem there is always somebody worse of than you, be thankful you're alive and not in a war torn country begging for scraps of food to eat.
 
I try to live according to the following:
"From each according to his ability and to each according to his needs with the surplus divided equally amongst all."

"Do the least harm to the fewest."

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."​
It doesn't always work (especially the first) but as commandments, they seem to me to make perfect sense :)

Thats a good one! I'm always telling my missus this.. She has a habit of worrying about anything and everything even when it probably won't even happen! I don't tend to worry about things until its happened, then I can do something about it.. :)

I know it's from the bible and I'm not at all religious, but I think it is a good moral to live by.

If I wouldn't like/couldn't hack it being done to me, then I'm not going to do it someone else, this even goes for practical jokes.
