Asus GTX480 EK backplate

I know that EK one doesn't fit Asus cards, but the question is - is there any backplate to install with this card and EK FC water block?

my asus 480 has an ek backplate on

so does this one we sell

it does fit, the asus is a reference design card

Well I have no idea why elswhere they told me it doesn't fit.
Thaks mate - I bought one from OCUK - unfortunately nikel one as they have no balack ones.

elsewhere obviously have no idea what they are talking about. there is hardly any 480s that have strayed from reference design.

the nickel ones look better than the black imho

i swapped mine out with a friend and it looks amazing

Soo makes me want to do watercooling, but bought the Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB which isnt reference design

huh, I called EK today, and they said that I have to use backplate with washers, and they will send me them.Well, BTW I took it off and now I'm waiting for washers.
I found another strange thing with my card - memory at the front of my card don't touch water block at all, no contact between them, when OCing I can see artirfacts only

, I have no idea that this is because my card is baended without backplate or not.Maybe water block it is not stright , is banded or whatever?

Reset the overclock do you still get artifacts?

no it is fine without OC,
But I'm worried that withoput contact with block memory can be fried up

even at the stock settings.

moreover - that is C7 dominator GT

it uses Elpida Hyper IC's

this is the best 6gb kit that was ever made

it willl be fine

but im sure you applied all of the thermal pads right?

Yes I did but it doesnt matter, there is no contackt between block and memory
