started Baldur's Gate for 1st time

I could never get into NWN at all. I would happily play a graphically updated but true to the original BG game right now. Same with Dungeon Keeper!

Aye, same problem. I actually completed NWN but it just felt so shallow and incomplete after BG. I know there was more focus on the new ruleset and online/custom campaigns, but it literally felt like half the game Baldur's Gate was, in so many ways.
Its easy to see why BG is considered one of the pinnacles of CRPG.

RPGs these days in general seem so easy and toned down, as well as lacking in depth, length and overall 'design passion' in comparison to titles like this. They've become so focused on making games more mainstream and easier to get into, they've forgotten the depth and what made them so good!

I never bothered with BG1, I got it about 30% done then I gave up. I also struggled with BG2 SOA, I got it about 60% done then gave up. Why? Because I was 10 at the time, and I think I did well to do as much as I did, without trying to blow my own trumpet :p :)

My problem with NWN was that it was develoepd in that transition period between bitmap sprite based games and 3D games. They were never going to get the same level of graphical detail and artwork when coding the game with the rudimentary 3D technology at the time. The sprites in BG were much easier on the eye, even if they did have far fewer frames of animation. Also it was obvious it was this limitation that forced you to have a max 2 party memebers + pet. Its only now they've just managed to surpass BG with Dragon Age in graphical terms.

This was my problem with allot of games in that era, they all sacrificed highly detailed 2d sprites and backgrounds for extremely rough looking blocky 3D effects with crap textures.

Giving this another go just got to the friendly Arm Inn for the 1st time and I've got a question. My Character is lawful good and I've got Imoen with me, also recrutied Zxar and Montaron who as we all know are evil. Does this affect the your party in meaningful way?

Having bad people in your party doesn't make you bad. It's more that, if you do good things, the evil NPCs will complain and eventually leave - opposite way around if you play an evil role.
