Codemasters F1 2010 X360/PS3 (contains important question about 2011 game!!!)

World Champion - Expert
Win the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship on the Expert Difficulty setting
The way I was doing it was as follows:
Start the race weekend with the difficulty set to Expert (obviously)!
Now once I was in a session (Practice, Qualifying & Race) I would go to the track and once I was in control of the car I would pause the game and turn on the assists I wanted. Then before returning to the pits or finishing the race I would turn all the assists off again so it said Expert again at the top. Also if I needed to restart the session/race I would turn the assists off before doing so and then on again after restarting

Just started my 4th season and signed with Red Bull thought I'd give this achievement ago the first two races finished in the top 3.
I've been playing online lately so AI on the harder setting can't be too bad to beat or so i thought.

Started Malaysian GP
Qualified 7th first corner got up to 4th :) after about 3/4 laps the other cars should have pitted but didn't grrr, i was running the prime tyre's so i thought I'd be able to get into 1st place and open a big gap to the guy behind me. But no out of nowhere on the straight Alonso out of nowhere comes up behind me and speeds past.!!!!! :(
I let him past after a bit but then other cars did the exact same thing speed right up and get right behind just out of nowhere.

From the menu I set the car up on the fastest option, i guess people who know a bit more could get a bit more performance but god I'm really mad atm
Don't get me started about the other bugs lol

Update: The team have been hard at work and as a result we have now completed all internal testing on the patch.

The patch is now in submission with Microsoft and Sony for all 3 platforms, and once this process has been successfully completed the patch will be released, ready for you to download. Keep an eye out on the forums, facebook, and twitter, as we’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready to download.

:D:D:D

Guys i have just started my second season with Lotus...and i have noticed that when you usually press up on the d-pad you can choose engine settings? Now in my first i had Fast/Standard/Cruise...this season i dont have anything! Is there a way to turn this back on or?

This is unbelievable, my game constantly freezes whilst I'm driving - usually when I'm braking or coming to a corner. I can't understand how either - has anybody else experience this?

i mainly get the disk cannot be read message for this game & crashed numerous times, given up on it for now playing PGR4 insted while i wait for patch

Edit : With game installed on hdd

Don't believe it, uninstalled the game, playing from the disc and it runs perfectly! I think my HD may be on it's way out...

I haven't played F1 in a while (waiting on patch) but I get the same random pauses in play.

Game is installed onto my 250GB drive. I will probably remove and re-install the game after the new dashboard + patch have been released.

I get this a lot, it tends to happen when I don't do the warm up lap in practice or qualifying then it carries on all the time after that.

My progress so far. 7th race into Season 2.

Settings I've had from the start are: AI = Professional, Fuel / Tyre Sim = on. Full Damage. TC = Medium, ABS = on. Auto gearbox (using a controller. Will be manual when I get a wheel)

I was with Lotus in the first season. Car developed well with a balanced R&D path. It was a nice car to drive with good balance. I won a couple of races. Ending the season with 98 points and coming 7th in the championship. Overall pleased with it. I did suffer quite a lot of puncture's. 3 occasions happening 1 lap after I changed onto fresh rubber. Guess that's racing :p

I moved to Force India for season 2. What a weird car I've got now :p The initial turn-in on both options and prime's is terrible. Wants to understeer with or without power. I can finely tuned it to become normal, well the same as I experienced in the Lotus but the front tyre wear increases quite a lot. Slowly I'm getting used to it. The car has good traction & pure grunt though even on a standard map. R&D path's are aggressive. The updates make quite abit of difference. Sometimes for the worse, for my driving style anyway :p

Still yet to master 1 run qualifying in the FI. Need 3/4 runs to warm up the tyre's.

Had a nightmare in Cataluyna. Can't master that track. Qualified 16th, finished 9th. Most part's, I were over a sec off the pace in the 2nd sector  I don't like the track anyway. Boring :p Similar story in Monaco. Qualified 13th finished 6th. The other 4 races so far, planted it within the top 5 on the grid and a few podiums with a win in Melbourne. Now that is an interesting track. Snatched my first pole of the season in Turkey with a barn-storming lap of 1:28.589. 7 10th's ahead of Alonso. Had the engine turned up though. Starting the race now. Currently lying 3rd in the WDC.

I love this game. Shame I haven't had time recently to get properly into it though.

Patch should be a welcomed edition.
