****Official Fallout New Vegas Thread****

Pretty much done most of what I can now. Level 30, over 30k caps and I'm at the point of no return (either carry on with side quests or accept the last mission). I think I'm going to look around for more side missions to do first and then finish it.

Love this game. Do not love it crashing though.

After pre-ordering the collectors edition for the xbox and it still not arriving i decided to pick up a standard copy myself.

My experiences so far, played for about an hour and ran into a bug where my right analog stick stopped working completely, wasn't sure how to fix but after rebooting etc i just started a new game, on the 2nd try i got to the first tutorial style quest to kill geckos and my xbox crashed.

haven't played it since, although my brother has managed to play his copy just fine for days now.

wondering if its something to do with old xbox vs new xbox =/

Been crashing a lot more on me today, 4 times in about an hour of playing...
 
I fondly got my copy today and im a couple of hours in, just been doing the training stuff since it's been ages since I played fallout 3. I'm having one problem though, which I seem to remember having in the last game, the inability to enter vats. Im hitting r2 and nothing happens. I'm playing on the ps3 and I think it's something to do with the trigger being a slow press so it doesn't register. Or am I being stupid?

Yet again I went for a female character but this time I'm going to be more evil, although stealing stuff in the starting town wasn't the best idea, within minutes of leaving the docs place the locals were shooting at me and I could barely defend myself with vats not working.
 
I actually had the problem with vats not working several times today for the first time, and I'm at lvl 21. Easily fixed though by just re equipping the weapon.

Maybe it's another issue with you :/
 
I just found the super mutant talk radio station...most amusing..at least until I put them off the air
 
Anyone know where I could get some power fists without killing anyone?

Also, anyone know where I could buy more cards for Caravan?

I think the supply guy in Mcarren Camp has one, I receovered one from a Fiend somewhere nearby.
 
Just completed it, around 50 hours.

The route i chose wasn't the best and has totally destroyed what i was trying to be as a character, meaning i was left unhappy at the forced decisions the game took.

Probably the most buggy game i've ever played on a console as well. I enjoyed my time, but nowhere near as good as F3, but will play through again and try a different route see where that takes me.
 
Those of you who have done this pathline will know what I mean.

When it says "Ignore" a group of people in the Sidebets quest, does that mean leave them alone, or don't let them join you?

Is that the one where you have to inform 'someone' that you're ignoring a certain group and that they should be left alone?

The dialogue which tells him to ignore them appears once you've done a few things for the group you want to ignore iirc.

Edit: Yeah, make contact with them and then you can tell him to ignore them. However if you get that faction to like you, then apparently you can tell him that they're on your side.
 
The two guys who sell stuff in Freeside sell power fists, cant remember their names but one guy sells weapons, the other guy sells general stuff and makes fake passports.
