Online tape measure?

Anyone know if there's a site that takes your screen size (diagonal, inches) and resolution and then brings up an image of a tape measure/ruler on your screen, to perfect scale?

Why not save time and just google online tape measure,you never know you might just come up with something like this?

only ruller I ever use is in IE dev tool. But only gives Pixels.

iruler fails. It does not match up with my real ruler...

That, or my monitor fails. Surely this is going to be very hard to keep accurate.

Indeed. It takes my screen as being 17" when it's 19" and when I select 19" it is still incorrect.

Seemed to work for me. It detected mine as 17.1" first, but then I said it's a 17", and it was absolutely spot on.

Incorrectly saw mine as 16:10, changed to 16:9 and it was accurate.

Got some weird looks measuring it with my steel tape, in the office though

Doesn't work for me... Comes out with 24cm on screen being 30cm of real ruler.

It got the resolution right, but I think it got the screen dimensions wrong. I'll go find a tape measure to check the diagonal and report back.

The ruler is not to scale and nearly two inches out on the dimension. I'll stick to a real measure.

I don't always have a ruler/tape measure to hand when I want to quickly measure something.

iruler failed to correctly guess my screen dimensions, close enough after recalibrating. Cheers.

Why oh why would you want such a thing? I mean honnestly what posible use could it be?

Get up, go to shop, by tape measure or rule and measure what ever you need to accurately without scratching your lovely monitor.

It might guess your resolution easily enough, but pixel pitch, it has no idea. And thats the most important one.

Was correct resolution on mine, but wrong sizes.
