I think am on a (edit out 20) 10 Mbps line, no point me going for a 100Mbps and its been lagging badly this last few months.![]()
Isn't 20/50/100Mb on DOCSIS 3 and 10 is on DOCSIS 2?

1) keep 50Mb modem but already had N wireless router and not in use and they will only charge you activation fee and no need for techicial man to come out to you.
2) keep 50Mb modem but already had N wireless router and will be in use then you will need a brand new superhub to support 100Mb wireless and will be activation fee only.
So, if you are 50Mb customers who had 50Mb modem but never use N wireless router and you can upgrade to 100Mb with just a one off fee of activation fee and it all done at their end without any tech guy coming out and will not be in a renewal 12 months contract. (only for 50Mb customers)
What does it matter whether I've used my Wireless-N router or not?
10 mb will be rolled out to 20mb, with the upload speed 2mb, so that's 20mb, 50mb & 100mb in their packages, would make sense.
My guess would be is that virgin media know that the router they provide with 50Mb is not capable of 100Mb, so you would need a superhub. Where as if you are on 50Mb and don't use their router, then its up to you to get a 100Mb capable router unless you also want the superhub.
I really don't think it will take off as they might expect, 50mb is enough for anyone really very very few things are going to take advantage of 100mb.
And I didn't think that when 50mb came out.
I could afford to go from 50 to 100 but what's the point 6100 Kbps downloads are more than enough not like there's that much stuff actually worth downloading.
Better upload speeds are long long overdue will help gaming a lot.
I also wouldn't be surprised if they end up making everyone's connection slower and less reliable by increasing uploads.
I hate them though as they always make the next tier just a few quid over the current top tier just small enough to tempt you.

But what would happen to 20 Mb users? If 10 Mb users get a free upgrade it would mean either discounting current 20Mb users to the same monthly fee as what 10Mb users will be paying, or give 20 Mb users a free upgrade too, but that would mean giving out the DOCSIS 3 modems to a ton of customers, which isn't going to happen. So a free upgrade would cost VM a lot of money.
