I forgot about PhysX

Don't worry the whole world has forgotten about PhysX.

and no your 5870 can't, yes and no to your next question.

I use an 8800GTX as my PhysX card with my 5850. It is NOT worth it. The 8800 only succeeded in raising my 5850 temps by 30 degrees c. If you really want to go ahead with PhysX, then just google it.

only NVIDIA cards are physx compatible. Dont feel to dumb, i was speaking to a guy who thought it was only compatible from SSD.

Whether physx is worth it or not thats up to you but to answer your second question yes you can use your 9800gtx as a physx card. I don't really know how to get it working but as said above google it and you should find something that takes you through it.

Yeah but you don't have to use a hot older generation card like a 8800/9800 as a PhysX card.

You can fit a power sipping GT430 and it does PhysX duties very well. Something I plan on doing once they release a GDDR5 version.
