I have to keep my dog in the house when I use the lawnmower and strimmer in the garden as he goes for both of them and the cables. One of these days he's going to get shocked but as can be quite daft at times he won't learn from it.

Photos or it didn't happen..

you mean you're going to get someone to replace those wires or replace the flex (if it's flex) yourself.
If it was me, I'd get your old CU fitted with a new one, I wouldn't want to find anyone on the end of any wire being electrocuted, even with rewirables you're on the wire for 5 seconds longer than you should be.
My dog once bit through my laptop cable, the bit before it goes into the transformer so he got the whole 240 volts across his teeth. I heard a bit of a yelp and looked over to see what was happening. He then went at it a second time because clearly the first shock didn't teach him well enough.
He was fine, but he never chews cables any more.He does jump out of second floor windows onto patios to get outside though...
Jeeeez. I've touched a plug socket after getting out of the shower once (turning on the TV in my room) and the jolt I got through my arm was enough to drop me. Couldn't imagine the pain from licking exposed wires though.
Glad the dog is ok though!Wow what a shocking experience for youGlad the dog is ok though!
My dog has twice chewed completely through the two coax sat cables that go between the skybox and dish..I didnt think a dog would chew on something as small as a wire.
