Dog got electrocuted last night

I have to keep my dog in the house when I use the lawnmower and strimmer in the garden as he goes for both of them and the cables. One of these days he's going to get shocked but as can be quite daft at times he won't learn from it.
 
Agree totally with, Sinny, get a new CU fitted. It will probably not work out much more expensive than getting individual RCD's for all around the house.

If it was me, I'd get your old CU fitted with a new one, I wouldn't want to find anyone on the end of any wire being electrocuted, even with rewirables you're on the wire for 5 seconds longer than you should be.

I meant exposed flex (one's he can chew), bad english on my part.
The old lamp is now in the bin.

Will be getting the CU changed as soon as some money comes in (been quoted approx £500 for that and running some new shower cables).
Worked out I need 6 RCD adapters in the meantime.

Hahaha, I just remembered that ours did that when he was a pup. Lying on the floor next to the coffee table, we noticed him getting agitated and looked down in time to see a couple of blue sparks jumping right into his teeth. Stupid dog thought he could win against a laptop charger!
 
Ha, my dopey mutt has done similar before, chewed on the wire of the hoover while I was vacuuming the room. Didn't seem to have any ill effects other than his tongue went limp and lolled about for about 10 mins.

He sure hasn't chewed on any wires since mind, think he learned his lesson.
 
You really need to get a RCD. Once, I was so wasted, while making toast, I jammed a metal fork into the toaster filaments. The electricity went off and I don't recall feeling anything.
 
By the way, I know this is pedantic and all, but if the dog survived, he wasn't electrocuted. Electrocution is death by electric shock; a portmanteau of "electric" and "execution".
