OCZ Launches RevoDrive X2 PCI-Express SSD

Can't find any mention of garbage collection, shame as this would be a good selling point over the current version.

If the $591 for the 240GB translates to around £435 after VAT it's a pretty decent prospect ($591 == £370 , £370*1.175 = £435)

Can someone from Overclockers give me some price and availability of these new X2 drives please? I would like to buy another Revodrive :)

These things rock :)

Once the next gen hits with 500MB/s+ sequential speeds, the subsequent Revodrives will be the ones to get. 2GB/s isn't out of the question.

I thought these new ones were hitting 750MB/S? otherwise I agree. These are so cool. I've taken all my spinneys out of my system and now just want to have 3 Revodrives and 2 graphics cards on PCIE. I tried going back to my old i7 pc next door (spare games machine) which has 4 spinneys in RAID0 in it and its soooooo sloooooowwww.

Wonder how much they will be? I paid £295 for the 120GB when it first came out so with all this extra Ram on board (parallel chips) I guess they will be around £400 for a 160GB.. its straight in the cart when they come in :cool:

They will be silly money till intel G3 comes then prices will drop. sooner the better.

I hope this is true :)

a lot of people are saying wait for intels next gen ssd drives, but I get the feeling ocz are already here with more powerful/faster drives and already on the market.

Lets hope the prices do drop:D

Are these drives going to be better than the IBIS?

The IBIS is just a Revodrive X2 in a case, All HSDL does is let you connect PCI-E Devices over a cable.

The Revodrive might perform slightly better because there's one less conversion stage for the data to go through, but there's probably very little in it.
It should definitely be cheaper though.
