What unpopular opinions do you hold?

My opionion: Beatles are not the best ever band.
True fact: Queen outsold and outperformed them in every way.

Just a matter of time before everyone realizes :p

The Beatles were in the right place at the right time. They did a lot of great things before anyone else, but that's arguably just because they got there first. Maybe someone else would have done the same stuff. It would have been done sooner or later.

I find it interesting that Ac/dc of all bands had the biggest selling album of all time by a group. Moist would expect the Beatles for that.

Unpopular indeed!

I wonder how you think genetically fat or largely built people are going to deal with not being 'fat'. Chop bones off? Not eat at all?

I dont see how bone has anything to do with being fat, and if your genetically disposed to gaining weight easily, then exercising MORE, and not eating so much would easily counter such a "problem"
They werent born fat.

@Zefan
No, hereditary conditions, disabilities or deformities are not thier problem as neither can be controlled with a healthy lifestyle.

This might not be unpopular, but I think it should happen
- The prime minister should be forced to make weekly/monthly broadcast illustrating what the governement is doing with their promised policies, current events and explaining why things have failed or suceeded. I would rather know the truth and except it than have it told to me like a 5yr old.

My dad is harder than your dad ;)

But seriously, just legalise drugs and leave people to their own devices.

Considering the problem we have with drunk people, letting those people (and many others) take drugs too would just be an absolute nightmare for the Police and society in general.

No thanks.

I read a report about the decriminalisation of drugs in Portugal recently, I can't remember where I found it, but the money they saved on now using the police force went into other things including a rehab scheme, which got a lot of the population off harder drugs like heroin and crack cocaine and onto soft drugs like cannabis, or off them completely. It seemed to be pretty successful, but I guess it largely depends on how the culture is too.

You never really know the outcome of something so mammoth so it could only be successful if it were tried. Even if you just restricted people to the use of drugs on private property, like their own homes or friends houses, I imagine it wouldn't be so bad. These nutters will be nutters whether or not there is law involved. Not everyone who enjoys recreational drugs is a psycho, just some! :D

That the police, by and large, do a good job in difficult circumstances. At least it seems to be an unpopular opinion on here. :)

I can't believe you're serious about the smoking ban v0n. It is completely different to most other things done in a pub for the simple reason that you cannot choose not to breathe. Some people go to pubs and don't drink, just to sit around in a warm place with their mates, have a meal and watch the football. I think it's a great thing that parents can take their children in to a pub for lunch without having to worry about forcing them to breathe in cigarette smoke.

No, you can not choose not to breathe, but you can choose different venue. If you don't like naked girls, don't go for a drink to strip club, if you don't like smoke, don't go for a drink to public house or bar that allows it, if you don't like football, don't go for a drink to a bar with sports on TV. It really isn't difficult. We don't need blanket ban to make simple consumer choices.
Also, I think it's completely stupid that parents can take their children to pub for lunch. Full stop. It's another proof people these days are too plain to understand very simple choice of venue. McD - not a health club. Starbucks - not a breast feeding and nappy changing booth. Pub - not a Chuck E. Cheese.
Public house is for adults, pub is a refuge to do pub things - they come, they drink, they smoke, they play pool, shoot darts, "read" The Sun at the bar, swear at TV. No children, no kiddie lunches. Completely wrong venue.

I would agree. It does seem that there are an inordinate amount of anti-police viewpoints on these here forums.

My unpopular view would be on the Aristocracy, and that I believe that the Aristocracy should be given more and not less powers. I feel that if the Monarchy for example had more specific power within Government it could ideally act as a stabilising force (I accept that is could also be a destabilising one, thus is being unpopular and one I don't discuss in depth).

Also I have a niggling suspicion that some of the conspiracy theories floating about are indeed true (or at least have a kernel of truth about them)

Hm where to begin:

Iran's presence is the lesser of two evils; it is an essential counter to the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine. An Iran with a pro-Western government would be even worse and spell catastrophic consequences not just for the Palestinians; but for the Middle East as a whole.

Agreed, But its probably because its cool to do. A bit reminiscent of the Ali G movie where he's sticking his middle finger up at the coppers, but below window level so they don't see it and all his mates think he's awesome

Mmmm, interesting.

No Control without Contention?

You can ignore the women or the football, you cannot ignore other peoples smoke. Simple really. Your anologys are still crap.
