play cataclysm :(
I am just unsure what will I do until guildwars2 :(
anyone else on the same boat of not wanting to go through another wow expansion? (and this is not a whine thread!!)
 
Not interested in resubbing for this expansion. I was getting pretty bored and Blizzards response to the beta issue many on here add was just so pathetic I couldnt be bothered any more.
Having said that, while it lasted I had a great time playing and have had more than my money's worth from WoW :).
 
was in the same boat until i realised i deffo do not want to continue with my time in wow and to avoid these little pull backs every now and then, my battle.net account has been deleted, tonight in fact! :)

I've been (mentally) strong enough not to play WoW for over 3 years now, so I have no trouble at all in not playing Cataclysm.

Then again, maybe I am just a mentally strong god :)
 
LOL I caved in and re-subbed this weekend after a break of some 18 months :( Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in...

Hehehe don't worry about it, you won't be the last, one thing these forums are brilliant at is creating peer hype, I've seen game after game on here get lots of people talking about it and then people rushing and getting it. I can almost guarantee you that once cataclysm comes out and every other thread is cataclysm related , loads of people, even people who have said they won't return to wow , will go back.

(not me though, but watch the usernames and look in December and you'll see them back, its the ocuk effect :D )
 
Give yourself 3 hours dedication put into a decent rpg you will soon realise there are so many gems out there that cataclysm, the addition of pretty much what we have all seen before will not bother you in the slightest
 
I know they dont have a release date of guild wars 2 but is it going to be released SOMETIME next year does anybody know.
Also will it have a monthly fee or do you just buy the game and no more extra fee's.
Because people are saying that its in stalemate with blizzards new expansion and considering cataclysm is pay monthly why shouldn't guild wars be?
dont bother commenting if this is a stupid question and all your going to do is flame because really guys lets face it whats the point.

Any responses ABOUT the questions would be nice thanks
 
See, when I first stopped a few years back, I started again but for only a few months, then I stopped again, went back and only played for like 2months, stopped, and this time I think I played it for a few days and got bored again. Each time I go back I play for less time. I dont think its the game though, the social aspect of it has died off. I basically only played with real life friends and we all started together. Now the last one has stopped playing none of us are looking to go back. So for me I think WoW is dead.

gw2 won't have any monthly fee!!!

Not sure on date for GW2
No monthly fee at all for GW2, free to play just like the original

Guild wars isn't pay monthly because it would lose a large amount of it's player base.
 
i have been resisting the pull of WOW for years now as i fear what little life i have will end if i start playing. Will power *** :cool:

tbh will power has nothing to do with it anymore, i tried downloading it last week but i gave up due to my **** dl speed

I can understand the appeal for players who only started playing in tbc/wotlk but for anyone that played extensively in vanilla it doesn't really offer much in comparison to the other 2 expansions (unless you enjoy rerolling lots).
I only know of a few people who are going to be resubbing from my old guild for cata but most of the have been playing since closed beta so are kind of relieved blizzard have created a bit of a lazy expansion as its a easy way to quit.

Stopped for 1.5 years
Retrieved account from gold seller
Re-subbed for a couple of months (earlier this year)
Lost interest quickly
Still have account.
