Will you be opening the door to 'them' tonight?

Had some boy, must have been 5 years old at the door. Dressed up rather well as a vampire, and with two ~15 year old boys. The little boy said he didn't even want to be trick or treating, just the other two made him to get them sweets.

nThink it should become an 'accompanied by parents only' tradition. It's the gangs of lads that the problem and goes way beyond simple 'trick or treating'.

We just got back from doing the round, we only knock on houses that are lit up with halloween decor. She really enjoyed it and is now munching on the few sweeties she had given, Id much rather take her to a halloween party.

I can understand ignoring the doorbell / knock when it's a group of teenagers, but ignoring little kids and their parents comes across as grumpy and miserable. We only used to knock people's houses if we knew the occupants, so I suppose it's a bit different.

I've got loads of sweets left.
Funny how I can give as many sweets as I want to kids tonight but last Monday when I was giving them outside the school gate I got arrested.

My brother put some decorations up outside his house, when the kids came to the door he answered it wearing a metallic skull mask and shouting "Rargh!" He scared a little boy so bad he was shaking. I laughed so hard.

I live in a nice area and have a pumpkin in the window. We've had 7 or 8 knocks. Each time 1-5 kids, ages 5-12, almost always with parents or older person standing on the road by the gate. Handed out a few quid of sweets. Nice evening all round.

I do open the door and they get either 20p each or a packet of milky way magic stars...

Kinda gutted as all my milky way magic stars are gone and I can't be bothered going to the shop :(

But yeah, I'm not a fan of the teenagers that turn up, But when it's parents walking around with their littles ones, It's well cute!!

It's once a year you miserable buggers!

Only thing that annoys me this time of year is Penny for the Guye, And that's because it's usually just chavvy kids after money for a packet of sigs, with a pair of tracksuit bottoms attached to a plastic bag. pffft. And I bet the Guye never even makes it to the bonfire!
