I was just gonna get the 6870 as it seems to satisfy my needs at the release price of £176 or thereby. Then the price gouging kicked in and the retailor greed and now at £200+ it doesn't look so attractive. So I'll wait, for now.:(

Lol, surely the 580GTX isn't going to be out for ages, not remember the fermi cards lol, took forever to actually come out :p, plus there was hardly any stock iirc, remember seeing posts on these forums, everyone complaining and moaning :p, about not having there fermi cards for like a month or more :p

If the reviews are good for the 6970, I'll get it :D , plus I am sure that ATI will get the pricing just right compared to nvidias cards :p

I heard a rumour that apparently came from an AIB who deals with both Nv and AMD cards, and apparently they have received 10x the volume of Cayman based cards compared to the 580.
So the 580 will be in extremely short supply unless demand is as low as it was for the 480...

Lol :D :p

That last part is true though :p

Is the 'I am going to spec you a 580' a meme?

Or is it becoming one with this thread?

Or is there some information on it that has completely flown me by.
