Threats, what would you do?

I met a girl at work and we clicked big time. Nothing happened as she wasn't single.

She's since left her BF but he is now threatening me and her, he thinks i have something to do with the breakup.

I was on a late tonight and he was texting her saying there are three lads outside waiting for me, and she is next, and he is gonna go back to jail for us, and all this sort of stuff.

I've never come across this before and not really sure what to do! I've told her to save all the texts and show her parents and his parents.

Police first, report it then get a crime number, get her to phone her mobile phone company and tell them she's getting abusive/threatening texts and give them the police crime number and the mobile number the other guy's using. Mobile phone company is now able to liaise with police so they can get evidence etc if required. If his number is on their network they can also block it as its a terms of use violation.
