ocz vertex 2 solid state too HOT ?

Is it my solid state at risky too hot as it report 80C with red warning ?

Was it true or false due to bug on software crystal disk info v3.9.1 ?

Might sound a little silly, but have you actually tried touching it? If it is indeed at 80c you would know about it!

OP's pic shows FW1.23 already installed.

I suspect the smart reporting is simply wrong. Have a search over at OCZ Forums to see if there is more details.

My Vertex2 FW1.11 firmware reports 0C and that is with checking I am reading the correct attribute from this list. In fact none of smart pics people have attached in that thread show a working temp though they are all <= FW1.11
