****Official Fallout New Vegas Thread****

That's the wild wasteland trait in freeside, happened to me when I came out of the robot factory after getting Fisto.

It was pretty funny. Attacking with rolling pins. My Liberator soon sorted them out, though and no one has to fear old ladies in Freeside ever again.

This is what I thought of straight away, what with this and the Romanes eunt domes written in blood at cottonwood cove I'm thinking some at Obsidian likes Monty python :p

Definately. There are also 3 Grenades you can get, which are called the Holy Hand Grenades. An obvious reference to the Holy Grail Film.

How do you get your followers to change apparel?
Just put decent armour in their inventory and they'll wear it, same with weapons as long as it's the right weapon class that they use, for instance give the antimaterial sniper rifle to Boone (I think that's what I gave him) make sure you give ammo too.

I guess I must be quite near the end, as everyone who was friendly with me seems to be shooting at me. Quite annoying really as I wanted to finish off the quests with them I had left.

I tried that with Boone, but He insists on using a Hunting Rifle

I swapped some stuff with Veronica and she said something like 'oh, is it a dress?' so I gave her one. And she said it was just what she wanted but still she won't wear it

I'll try swapping some decent gear instead like you said!

Early on in the game, where did you guys store your items? Was hoping for a house similar to the one you get in Megaton in FO3.

I've been using a place called Wolfhorn ranch to stockpile my ammo, food and junk. It's located in the south of the Mojave not far from the Legion raid camp.
It's not the best place to live, but it's isolated and easy & quick to get to (handy if you are hated by the major settlements) and has it's own bed, water supply and crops growing outside (important for hardcore mode players). It also has plenty of containers inside to store ammo, apparel etc and food. Haven't had any local wildlife or NPC's spawn near it either.

The only disadvantages are that the water supply is slightly irradiated (5 rads) and you won't get well rested XP for sleeping in the bed.
