HTC Desire HD (Ace)

I unplugged it at 9:30 last night (as soon as it hit 100%) so what ever it is at that time tonight. I am still using it as I would normally do, minus a bit of angry birds, so reading emails, checking FB etc. along with other normal phone stuff.

Yeah it's the reason I ordered so late... pre-order got offered different deals and was told when the phone was on pre order they are limited to what they can do.

Had it for about 2 hours now, respact to Clove for sending it out so quickly. Yeah its sim free, my heros going to mazuma or summit for about £95 which takes the sting out a bit.

So far all I can say is wow. Its super fast compared to my hero and handles everything pretty much seemlessly. The keyboard is absolutely brilliant, you can enable spell checking so even when you manage to make an error it usually corrects it with the right word for you.

As for the hinge, well yes ive got one of the slack ones but to be honest its not bothered me in the slightest. The people that complain about it really are complaining about a non issue as the magnet that holds the screen open is strong enough to support the screen unless you are upside down.

The camera isnt great, but is definatly acceptable. Im not going to try to compare it to that of the Iphone 4 and the N8 as its just wasting my time as I can easily say its not as good. However, the flash is really good and the pics snap really fast compared to my old hero, itll be focused and have the pics taken in a couple of seconds. The camera shutter button is a very nice addition too.

As for the sense interface, its the same as the HDs so there no point in talking about that. Car panel is simply excellent although the navigation is a purchased option (get a months free trial then you have to buy it) but by the looks of it the maps etc are done by route 66.

The build quality is simply great, i can say anything bad about the quiality as its feels solid apart from the slack hinge which is no biggie.

If anyone has any questions/quieries feel free to shout them out and ill do my best to answer, just dont ask me about anything root related as I have no intentions of doing it.
 
Stellios, I would have expected the camera to be fairly close to the quality of the iPhone 4?

Obviously it wont touch the N8, but what does :p

You have to ring them, they have none in stock at the moment. I moved from Orange to Voda as on Orange the phone is hideously branded (least the one in store was.)
