It must be that magic blown diesel torque effect. It's ~265 bhp/tonne and driving 4 wheels and an unfriendly frontal area. I'm just calculating some in-gear times from a dyno extrapolation and it's not looking all that hot Mark, distinctly poofterish if I'm honest.

Have you considered an Elise?

Poofterish pahhh i thought it felt fantastic, perhaps its the size :) They say it will hit 60 in 4 seconds but its the in gear push that impressed me.

I cant fit in those Lotus things anyway.

It looks like a £2850 remap? What am I missing?

Although a decent remap on my little Fiat only cost £300, it can cost up to £1000 on a BMW so I can easily expect Bentley stuff to be that expensive.

No doubt there is more work involved than a remap though.

Tuning companies like Mountune usually add more than just a remap (exhaust, induction, FMIC etc...) as they need to know the power is stable and safe as they'll be guaranteeing the parts unlike a standard remap.

Something is done to the throttle for response as well.

Im not at all technically minded so this is all just my experience and feeling but the difference between my standard car and the tuned version was big, especially mid range.

Also Phantom have a superb reputation and race Bentley, they do know what they are doing its worth a few quid premium to have peace of mind.

They have so far done 50 GT's and FS's with no problems.

Are we still arguing about the advert?

Some people really need to find better internet arguments to entertain themselves with, this is painful painful ****.

He has already said once. Bentley GT Mulliner.

Plus he posted a thread about it a week or so back (although at that time he was undecided between taking the new car or having the same work done to his).

Getting the new one made sense in the end, remember i got the one iv got now cheap so i made a nice few quid on it, it works out 17k to change to the new one, which is lovely in a good colour with all the Mulliner bits. And only 12k miles.

Mines 2007 56 plate 27k miles this one is 2007 57 plate 12k.

You gonna have problems getting the new one on a warranty again or should it all be fine?

Thats the only epic, at the moment it belongs to a motor trader who for some mad reason registered in his company name, soooo if you buy one from a trader, no Bentley warranty, however if you buy it from a private person, you can put it through the inspection then get a warranty.

Now normally i dont bother i take my chances but i know people that have had 10k and 15k bills with these for not terribly serious problems, so i want a warranty.

I will leave you to work out what im doing but the upshot will be another owner on the book ;)

Some people need to learn to read. Discussion has moved on to Marks new car in no, we are not still arguing about the advert.

This performance upgrade by GIAC is the first in the world to be flashed through the OBD (Diagnostic) port by laptop computer. No tampering or opening of electrical components is necessary. A switching device is included for some programs.

Finally, the performance upgrade is non-detectable by normal diagnostic methods and is fully reversible. No tampering, opening or removal of any components is required.

That was my point, if it'd got the breathing mods associated with a stage 2 'conversion', I'd get it, but the thick end of 3 grand for a stage 1 map seems steep, even if it does provide the extra horses/torques quoted...

£17k for circa 9 months newer and 15k less miles? What on earth are all the Mulliner bits, and how many carats are they? ;)

Were you drunk when you agreed to this? :D

Some people need to learn to type before they critisise others so hastily.

I glanced up to page 5, with comments up to 124.

The comment was more aimed at how the discussion can anally go on for up to five pages, and is quite **** to read like most threads ruined by morons in these parts these days.

I knew you'd be the only person to reply to that also, so no bonfire igniting suprise there then.

I agree, Fox you ruined the OPs thread. He even said as much re what a tedious debate it had become...

You suck Fox
