Jeans with shoes

Shirt, Jeans and Brown shoes - the standard work wear of the marketing industry. Nothing wrong with it.

Let's go back 20 years, remember Kickers (replace with the latest "must have name") with blue jeans.

NO. Please not again. :-)

only if expensive £250+ and brown!

Haha, that's more than I've spent on any item of clothing ever. If you think I'll be spending £250+ on a pair of shoes just for going out any time soon you're having a laugh.

Gotta agree with most of what you have said... but loafers.. terrible?

No comment on the loafers themselves but I'm mildly concerned that it seems you're required to show your ankles with loafers - I rather thought the idea of having a well turned ankle went out a good century or so ago.

What do you all wear when out on the town if not jeans and shoes?

Black or dark jeans and black shoes is what 90% of people wear when out in town etc.

The only time I ever wear 'shoes' is black boots with my black skinny jeans. Otherwise jeans and trainers. Fortunately I live in Glasgow and many clubs don't have ridiculous rules about footwear. In most places in England because people have to wear shoes they just stick them on with their jeans and they look terrible. In the most part I think it's the clubs fault that this hideous combination exists.

So yeah I reckon generally it's a bad combination, it can look okay but it's very rare.

Brown brogues go well with slim jeans as long as they aren't chunky looking ones (and they have to be a bit worn in). Generally if you want to wear shoes with jeans you'd stick with brown shoes, but to be honest wearing boots is better unless you want to look a bit smarter.

Get some plimsolls, fred perry, lacoste or something, they're cheap (£35-£60) and look nice, then wear them with a polo shirt and some straight legged/semi skinny jeans(not the spray on ones) and you'll be lookin ace. :)
