Joshy, when you are purchasing a car like this, it doesn't matter so much whether it is £3k better than a 306 if the 306 just doesn't appeal to the prospective owner.
Much in the same way as you wouldn't dream of buying an EK9 if you liked the 306, but Hondas weren't really your thing.
This point is only reinforced when you're talking about a car that barely depreciates - if it does at all.
But as Johnny mentioned earlier, when you have two cars (DC2 and EK9) that have "proper" suspension, rather unique engines, and that aspect of rawness and focus that brings the smiles, it becomes worth it IMO. Some people aren't in to FWD cars, or crisp handling. Some people prefer waftyness, or a bit of sideways action, each to their own but the crisp handling suits my preferences more than anything else.
