English League Football ** spoilers ** [6th - 10th November 2010]

FFS flappy at it again:(...we have been utter cack in the first half...Newcastle deservedly in the lead.

Song, utterly worthless, ok, he didn't make contact and giving the foul was strange, but did you see how he went at Nolan, jumped WAY in the air, no reason but he does one of those every week, he did two last week, got off with one missing any contact and got booked for another. Worthless going forwards, towards the end Theo was actually marking Gutierez for a change, with Sagna, why did Song go over rather than mark the closest player or get back towards the box, no idea, he just follows the ball, his positioning is utterly shocking. He follows the ball and see's nothing else.

Wilshire, defensively he's using his STRENGTH to hold of Ameobi and Carroll and won great tackles against those two and pretty much everyone else, he puts Song to utter shame as a defensive midfielder, the only foul he gave away he got the ball, it was another successful tackle. Why anyone on earth thinks Song, who gives away loads of fouls every game is a good DM I don't know. Wilshire is putting on a show as the all around midfielder, defensively incredibly strong against guys about 4 times his size that Song would get done or give a foul away, offensively a few nice passes but is staying deep, he's disciplined and really the only player for ARsenal showing anything today.

Nasri again is doing his ball hogging thing, several runs, like the one he seemed to pick up an injury, if he looked up there were 3 people to cross to, but he just kept hold of it and kept hold of it. Its costing us more often than he creates something good doing it.

Theo, the one potential run in behind was pathetic, he needs to ghost in behind the shoulder, not stand 20 yards infront of them, with them looking at him and start his run he was very easily held away from the ball, wingplay, non existant, utter lack of willingness to try to beat his man on the wing. Sagna, conceded the needless freekick for the goal, conceded many other needless freekicks, maybe should have given away a penalty, delivery and passing awful. 8 great months, almost 3 crap years since then, no idea why he's still at the club. Still never crosses when played in behind, ALWAYS takes a touch and gets his cross blocked, always, why won't he hit the ball on the run?

Koscielny, one more of those "wtf has he done" moments with the insanely bad misjudging of the header he missed early on, okay apart from that. Fabregas, way below his usual quality, Chamakh, not involved for 3 games or so now, early new club form gone, I really hope thats not all his first 10 games was. Fabianksi, not really tested since he came in, made an utter meal of it. Thing is he came out VERY slowly, stopped, then stood waiting for it, keepers need to come out at speed and time their jump to have momentum and get there at the right time. Instead he went to the ball, waited and jumped while Carroll was moving had momentum and got way higher. Awful keeping.

Far too defensive again...why wont he play Johnson :(

I don't like Mancini at the best of times but why the **** isn't he playing Johnson? I mean, excusing Silva, he is comfortably your most exciting, creative and dangerous midfielder. I really don't understand it, every time he comes on he makes such an impact, it just seems absolutely retarded.

I don't understand the 'impact sub' thing tbh, just play him from the start if he is good enough, which he clearly is.

/random internet rage off.

RvP on - so is he fit or is he being rushed back?

Huge difference between the 4-0 and one of our 'off' games. Newcastle still are pretty dire however we this game we've not taken our chances.

Is andy carrol going to fill the "heskey void" in the england squad. Hold the ball up well and score every other decade?
