Wii - GoldenEye

I found it easier to get into with the classic controller(pro version is even better imo)as its closer to playing an FPS on XBox. So yeah turning i think is easier on the controller.

Cool thanks for the response, I will check out the Classic Controller Pro and see how it compares.
 
classic C Pro I can't seem to get the looking actions correct

press left to look right and right to look left ! :rolleyes:


its loads easier to play with wiimote the aim is very accurate but you lose the ability to spin around quickly.

Is there no way to configure the controls? It sounds really strange - left to look right and vice versa!
 
you can swap the Y axis but no way to swap the X axis as far as I can see, unless you pick legacy and then the L_stick is look left/right and move f/b its just feels to weird.
 
I use Wii remote and nunchuck. I got this the other day and love it. Awesome game. Gets frustrating at times. The controls are a little clunky but I can live with it since it's goldeneye. Great story and gameplay though and gfx really good for Wii. FPS belongs on PC though to be honest. This highlighted that for me as this is really my first console FPS of recent times. I can't imagine playing COD for example on the PS3. Would be hideous. I love my consoles but not for FPS.
 
Great game but having same problem as others, I can't turn quick enough with the Wiimote and nunchuck combo. I don't have a Classic Controller Pro I use an old Gamecube pad and I've not tried the Gamecube pad yet.
 
can you play with the gamecube pad?

EDIT : just watched the vid and he says you can use the cube pad but says its not too good. I am very very tempted to get this, but think the control method doesn't look too easy, i've never played a fps on wii

accuracy with mote is great but doing 180 spins is harder than pad but then with a pad you accuracy is lower so it a fair trade off really, no auto aim with this either so its nice to play a game that rewards skill.

mote + nuchuck has the added bonus of being able to learn around corners by twisting the nunchuck.
 
Turning with the wiimote & nunchuck is pretty poor tbh

The setup of the game and the presentation is great. Love the mission briefings from M etc

Why did this AND FM2011 have to come out at the same time! Argh

I've tried searching the net tonight on this issue but haven't found any other info.

Does anyone know if this is a glitch or if its what was intended for the controls?

I, like many, really like this game but find the turning controls too slow and would like to see if using the classic controller (pro) makes it any easier.

If anyone has any more info on this, then I'd really like to hear it!
 
Seems a bit retarded to have the controls on normal to have left = right & right= left!

I have switched to mote + Experience settings seems to be the best so far, until I can actually use the CCP.
 
Anyone else still playing this?

Got it last week after Amazon took forever to deliver it to me, and it's pretty fantastic, isn't it? I've played through single-player once (on the easiest setting :o), and I intend to go back into it a fair bit, but multi-player is a load of fun too. I'd love a couple of slower-paced, tactical scenarios in it, but the black box and goldeneye modes are pretty fun nonetheless.

Can't decide which control scheme I prefer yet. The pad is easier, but I get the feeling the wiimote would be better once mastered.
 
Got it in my Lovefilm queue, at high priority, but guessing it might take a while to get round to it nonetheless. Looking forward to it, though.
 
Well I got the game and have been playing it for a while now.

I couldnt get used to the wii mote controls for this and found it a bit cumbersome - so I switched ot the classic controller and instantly found it better.

Maybe I didnt give the mote controls enough of a go.

Overall it is an excellent game. Cant wait to play it through on 00 Agent:)
