Been to look at a Focus ST

Hey all, just been tom look at a Focus ST this afternoon, just wanted to check a few things, mostly regarding price and features!

It's a 2008 ST3 in Panther Black on a 57 plate, 27200 miles, and up for £11,999, have been offedred £4200 for my 2004 Civic, so yeah, I know that means we'll give you £3,700 as the.Focus is worth about £11,500!

It mentions in the listing "p/h/d/m" not sure what this means? Also I assume hfs is heated front screen? Also bi-xenons listed, not sure if they were standard on the pre facelift ST-3? Also mentions 12 months ford protect warranty, not sure how much that means? Also a years AA cover as it is at a Ford dealership.

Is there anything big to look out for on ST's? I hear the Volvo derived engine is pretty bulletproof, but any big issues that I would be best looking out for?
Opinions? Looks spotless, off tomorrow to test drive tomorrow as there were 2 members of staff in today and it was 3pm and the Black one was right in the middle if the showroom, so took out a 59 plater to see if I like the delivery etc.. (and I'm sure they'd hoping I would shell out a further £3,000+!"

Exactly that, I would rather ask an un biast forum where some people are helpful, rather than ask the guy who is trying to sell me it who will try and tell me exactly what he wants me to hear!
 
Not that it is a major issue but someone on here has had quite a bit of trouble with the turbo.

Should be a very good car for a bit of 'cheap tuning' if you want. The remaps available for these really do work wonders.

ST3 only seats 4 (ST2 and ST can seat 5).

HFS - could that also mean heated front seats which IIRC was something that came on the ST3 or was available on the ST3?

Best to ask Ford about the warranty but if it is a used approved Ford you'd expect something like a 12month warranty that covers everything you would normally expect from a '3rd year warranty' (usually the engine and running parts and not stuff like audio, wiring, interior trim etc...).
 
i dont think standard st's are that quick :confused::confused: , remapped and an air filter and some other mods their totally different but standard their average in my opnion
