Volvo V40

I think snowdog has the idea that selling both cars for one good car which has what others have and more is too expensive. Remember he is in NL so prices are different there. Tho i bet if he sold both he could get a nice car with the money he gets from the sales and a little saved up that is IF he needs any other money apart from the sale of his two cars.

To be fair, I'm ****ing a lot of money up the wall keeping my stupid Volvo.
After reading this thread, I'm now going to sell it* and get something cheaper to run as a 2nd car, like diesel Leon or something. This will also allow me to appreciate the Z3 more :p

*If I can find somebody stupid enough to buy it..

So is the Volvo any good then:p

For free, yes, they're perfectly ok,adequate, acceptable modes of transport.

If you want anything remotely interesting or exciting, look elsewhere. But not before taking the Volvo and selling it to me for £100 - instant profit.

Will I ever stop laughing at snowdog? I just can't see it. Truly epic lols - I might buy a nice primera to compliment the accord, perfect 2 car garage!

The issue was that the Galant was supposed to be the answer to all of his prayers - A "Fast" and "Comfortable" awesome saloon car that loads better than his V40, so he bought it, Despite us pleading with him to walk away from it as it was quite obvious to EVERYONE that it is a sheddy nail of a moneypit. Now it turns out that it's is such an unreliable nail that he has to keep his old car as back-up. This doesn't make any sense no matter what country you are from.

And I don't buy the "I've grown attached to it" sob story. It's a Volvo V40. What's more, it is a Volvo V40 that you couldn't wait to see the back of when you got the Galant. Things seem to have suddenly changed once you actually got the Galant home - Did you realize the grass isn't much greener? ;)

I had a V40 before i got the V70, it was a 2.0i mind, a 1800 will be a bit sluggish, but I thought it was a superb car, never cost me a penny outside servicing etc. in the 4 years I had it.
If its been serviced and looked after theres no reason it shouldnt be fine.

In fact, when I wrote it off on some ice a few winters ago, the crash was such a pleasent experience that I decided I had to have another Volvo.
If you can get over thier non-trendy image, they are fabulous cars.
