Call of Duty: Black Ops

Gah! Going to grab my copy now before work. Can't play it till 5:30. Might try to play it on my lunch on the PS3 in work if the meeting room's free :D

I'm finding the MP on this game so much better then MW2 its untrue. So glad they had the balls to tone the kill streaks down.. Oh BTW picked up some ones AK47u and its THE SMG of BO just an incredible gun. Totally addicted to this game already. Had a few twitchy COD dreams this morning just before waking up :)

Won't get to play much untill tomorrow but any hours I can grab between now and then I will.

Its probably a really obvious thing to say but its like a perfect mix of the last 3 CODs. There were times last night without all the kill streaks constantly over head that it felt so much like COD 4 with a WAW back bones and a sprinkling of the new from MW2.

Still after hours and hours of play I've only been hit by a kill streak a 2-3 times tops. Such a good decision to go back to way more gun fights. I didnt think they would but I'm so glad they back tracked on some of the structure and design of MW2. Fantastic!
 
I agree with you mate. Was really refreshing to play it.

Those damn RC cars haha, I panicked when I saw it coming towards lst night, and then BOOM! :D
 
Loving the game so far, MP is a lot of fun, I even managed a 10 kill streak on my second go! And I hate those ******* dogs!
 
can you nuke?(don't remember streak list) good to see a headbutt only nuke video. like on mw2 people trying to nuke with only pistol ect.

edit: nvm, highest is 11 kills killstreak. seems lame,.

Yeah its a thing of beauty!

One thing I'm finding a little weird is I'm using a mixamp and head set and I'm finding it really hard to hear people. In COD4 WAW and MW2 its like you can practically see people through walls with a good headset but this has toned it down....its like everyone has ninja on already (which they dont) so I guess I need/want ninja pro in order to make others footsteps louder? is that what it does?

Oh and I was going through the SP on harden till I got to the khe sanh. The checkpoint is in the middle of a battle of loads of re-spawning guys and the couple of times I did manage it I got nubbed before the next checkpoint. So I put the difficult down after about 20 tries. :o

Kill streaks are lame. Having less of them is a good thing. And not having them stackable is even better IMO. Less kills from killstreaks = more gun fights = a better FPS game IMO

I do agree with you, but trying to stay alive for 25kills was a great challenge to me. i always got 18/19 really easy. so 11 shouldn't be too hard.
 
Sit Rep Pro made enemy foot steps louder, Ninja Pro made your footsteps silent.

I know what you mean about the sounds through a headset though, really struggled to pick out the extra details like on MW2, weather that was because I wasn't paying much attention to it as I was too busy thinking about the maps I dont know.

Killstreaks don't stack as well so It won't be as much as harriers now = AC130 now = nuke :p

You would actually have to perform all 11 kills without dying rather than getting 5/7 and hiding in a corner.

i don't often hide, i like to get shotgun/knife/magnum nukes. i do hide/camp on wasteland when snipering, but snipers are meant to camp/be hidden.
 
The PC guys are raging about this on their forum, I actually bought both copies (PC and 360) as got them combined for £50.

Me thinks ill be bashing out the console version first ;)
