Codemasters F1 2010 X360/PS3 (contains important question about 2011 game!!!)

YES!!!!!!!

Just played the wet race I could not finish as it really peeved me off everytime I tried before the patch...

Applied patch, started in 8th, raced, made a mistake of asking for prime tyres again... Bugger, then the engineer said 7th lap in out of 12 that the weather was getting worse so get wet tyres... Went in... Each time, within a lap or 2 I was back into my original place, give a place or two!!! So that means folks, no more pit bug!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

Not to mention, at one point, I was held up on the pits, 3 cars went buy, I was held, but as soon as the last one went past, I was let loose. Still kept my position!!!!

Just about to do a race at Montreal. Can't wait!!! Love this game now :D

Anyone recommend some difficulty settings? Im with Ferrari in my second seaosn. AI on Expert i think and im stilling winning by 20secs!
 
**** ****ing game.

Anyone else have major problems trying to join a race with a couple of you in a party? Just keeps putting you in a full race and one of you gets disconnected. So ****ing flawed and rushed it's unreal.
 
Finished my first season with Lotus and won the championship (of course!)

Now moved to McClaren, decided to slowly up the game - put the difficulty up from Intermediate to whichever the next one is - pro? And I've put tyre wear on too.
 
I did the dreaded Monaco yesterday. Pro difficulty, tyre and fuel sim on, just auto gears.

I was awful in practise, finally got into things for qualifying and ended up 14th, not bad for the Lotus.
Then I get to the race and it's peeing it down. Up to about 10th by the first corner, 5 laps in and I'm 4th. Stuck behind Hamilton, who's being held up by Vettel whilst Alonso runs off into the distance. 40% race distance is incredibly intense in heavy rain on that track. A dry line starts to appear in the last half of the race, everyone pits but I stay out and Alonso rejoins right behind me. He never manages an overtake but about 6 laps from the end he pits again and I think I've got it easy. He went onto slicks and caught backup very quickly (the track still looked darn wet to me) my tyres were going off but held onto the lead with Alonso on my gearbox for the last two laps.
The most satisfying race so far, bugs (or poor game design/AI) were minimal and it was a proper challenge.

I did notice the car infront of the player car automaticaly seemed to become the fastest on the track, faster than me when I was considerably faster than everyone else at times. Thankfully they soon got stuck in traffic.
 
I don't understand how anyone can play this game on anything but the hardest difficulty if they've got any aids on or tyre/fuel sim off, it would be far too easy. I managed to come 6th in Melbourne with AI on legendary, TCS medium and ABS on in a lotus, lord knows how people play with lesser AI!

And doing a career starting with anyone other than the bottom 3 teams is cheating imo :p
 
it's definetly much better with a wheel. More comfortable for long periods of play, much easier to be consitant and considerably less frustrating due to the finer control input.
 
I traded this in this morning, despite the patch its too little too late from Codemasters. I now have Black Ops to play, Assassins Creed Brotherhood is out on the 19th and GT5 looks set for a pre Christmas release. This was never going to be better than GT5 in my opinion, but i thought id get at least a couple of months enjoyment out of it. Shame really, i loved the game but the bugs ruined it. Poor show Codies :(
 
How much did you get from the tradein + where? I'm going to trade mine in for Black Ops tomorrow, wish I brought it with me today :(

I cant remember exactly but i traded in f1 and Medal of Honour and got £47 something for both. If you are trading it in against Black Ops you get it half price at Game
 
Had a bloody fantastic race last night, upped the difficulty to Professional... Now my team (lotus) are where we should be but a little better. Makes it so much more fun when you are struggling to get into the top 10, fighting against the mid field guys.

On Silverstone now though... VERY tough track, any tips?

My F1's getting traded tomorrow whilst I can still get a good price for it, it's gonna drop like a stone, already can be bought for £25 new. :/

Very disappointed with it, roll on GT5.
