I have been told I can either work from our Leeds or Sheffield office, as I know very little about both offices (Leeds is bigger and better equipped but is out of town, sheffield is a small office in the centre) and have no friends/ family in either location the choice seems to come down to where is the best place to live.

So which is best and why?

I've been to Leeds a few times. (Originally from surburban London) and I can assure you, Leeds is no-where near as good as London.. Not even close, not even a smidging. It's 50times smaller for a start !

Personally, and actually it happened to me. My employer said we need to move you up North, and I graciously quit ! That would be my choice ! New opportunities will lay ahead.

** edit, oh i've just seen you are already a Northerner .... oh well choose whichever you like, they are both crap.

Yeah, but it's not. Have you been to Leeds? It's bloody awful :)

Leeds is a great city. Don't listen to the southern muppets saying London is the be-all-and-end-all. London is the worst and best of all UK cities, but it's mainly the worst.

Leeds is a brilliant city. Really good nightlife and plenty to do during the day. It has really good transport connections as well!

Sheffield is okay, Leeds is seriously "meh", from my experience with both cities.

That said, I would almost always prefer to work 'out of town' than right in the centre (usually easier to find affordable housing within a reasonable commute time), so reluctantly, I'm going to have to say Leeds.

Well, I'm not Southern but I found Leeds to be a very small city pretending to be something else. London also has it's awful points but I found Leed's were more apparent.

Just my opinion, dude :)

The choice is between Leeds and Sheffield, not Leeds and London.
