Been to look at a Focus ST

The key difference between a recall and a tsb from the ops perspective is that Ford won't fix it for free out of warranty if It's a tsb but they will if It's a recall, iirc.

so you can probably still get this sorting for nothing

Sounds like you're about as sure as I claimed to be, so why are you jumping on a technicality in terminology?

FWIW, Ford customer care will often authorise stuff like this outside of warranty according to my local dealer.

Correct, a tsb is more there to help the Tech's.

If its a common fault then you may get goodwill depending how far out of warranty it is. If it was out by a week you would get full warranty if it was say a month you may get 50% ETC <<<< These are not correct just examples.

I suspect he means a mk1 :)

Ssssh could be onto a winner here ;)

Took the black one out tonight after work, felt good, was a great blast rounda country road and the first time I'd driven a car with Xenons, wow, real difference right there! The car is pre facelift but with red stereo/gauge lighting, I thought it was green up until facelift, either way, all felt good, not sure if it didn't feel as hard on the boost as the one at the weekend, or more if as it was dark/roads were busier than a sunday afternoon I just went a little easier on it.

Going to go check the Performance Blue @ Available car at the weekend and see how they match up part-ex wise (I have a big feeling it'll be about £3,800) but we will see, not sure if parking sensors and a sunroof are worth the premium on that, but as said, we'll see! :)

*hi-jacking thread a bit*

I have scrapped the "Brand new Clio 200 on PCP and handing it back after two years" idea and decided i actually want to own a car. i cant bring myself to pay £6000 over two years and have nothing at the end of it.

The Focus ST looks like it might well be a good choice. Budget for myself would be 8-9k, so not too worried about a facelift version.

Looking around, it looks like you can get a decent example for this sort of money with good miles.

A wise move, or is my budget too low for one of these?

Out of interest why are you guys saying Mountune is better than Dreamscience or presumably Bluefin / Code Red ?

As far as I was aware it is more expensive, cant be transferred and only of benefit if you're worried about warranty ?
