I've gone back to doing a cycle of Rhodiola rosea which is a fantastic herb IMO. Love herbs and natural medicines. I take RR for short times from time to time and really does help, but only in short bursts (4-6 weeks at a time). I'd recommend it to anyone that feels a little low, exhausted, generally need a bit of a boost.

I've actually heard the opposite that the claimed protein levels are a fair bit higher than the actual amount of protein in it.

this was all cleared up.

"Gaspari posted a response on their website with their own lab analysis. They had two different labs analyze the protein content of Myofusion and in both cases it was under-dosed, by 7.7% and 1.5% respectively.

The FDA allows for up to a 10% variance from label claims."

For anyone intrested maximuscle have just set up a bulk supply side to their business www.maxiraw.co.uk, the prices for most things arnt great but I was having a look and if you add the 5kg WPI to your basket it adds a 20% off discount so for £51 you get 5kg of isolate, plus a free tshirt, shaker and a few other bits and bobs.
Considering its £49 for 5kg on MP without postage its not a bad deal.

Cheers dude I've signed up for that, looks like quite a good deal. Although I wont be buying for a while as I've stocked up currently :p

I really don't see the point in spending more money and buying flavoured whey. You will get bored of the taste after about 10 shakes and it will taste like ass always after. :p

Hey FF, did you buy a specific brand/where from? Also at what dosage? :)

Yup.

I caught the norovirus after having just started taking unflavoured whey. Psychologically my body still holds it responsible and even the smell of unflavoured is enough to make me dry heave and gag.

Why dont you just add Milo or Nesquick to it? That way you can change your flavors when ever you want:D

I did. I tried using Nesquick. It was something uncontrolably subconcious. The smell of it is now associated with exploding from both ends for 8 hours non stop.

Try milo then :D Its got a much more higher Awesome rating then Nesquick.

While im here can someone tell me why Whey just doesnt like being put into hot drinks? It always curdles the milk =/

About 500mg per day split 250 in the morning first thing before anything and then about mid morning. I get the powder from BSD.

I'd agree on the herbs and vits defo a plus, but it all adds up and is pretty expensive, I've noticed lately a lot of them have shot thru the roof, example being glutamine so now I just don't bother.

Thats why I only spend £150 a year on supps. I'd rather spend a bit more on decent quality items which actively have an effect on me rather than cheap supps which do little for me. :)

I've never had problems with unflavored whey. It's just like flavored to me. I'd get sick of the taste after a few consumptions. Just quickly down the ****er and be done with it. :D

The texture of MP's unflavoured whey with milk used to remind me of mucus. Ach!

Really? Is it that much different to the flavoured stuff? Ive only used the choclate smooth stuff. Was the first I tried and I love it so see no reason to try something else. With a decent shake its texture is really smooth and mixes really well for me. Could actually drink it with milk all day as its so lovely but have to restrict myself to just when I train. With water its not bad either.

I know water is supposedly better due to faster absorbtion etc but how much of different does water/milk make? And would water be better for both pre and post workout? Quite new to all this as you can tell

I personally took glutamine for my bowel lol. It's good for the intestine. Not so much for recovery.

I think I got my words mixed up there, the texture is normal, just the taste that reminds me mucus. Chocolate smooth is lush! Have you tried the chocolate mint? Damn that's nice!

Having your shake with full milk greatly increases protein synthesis. Micellar casein (milk protein) has also been proven to be the best protein when it comes to preventing muscle wastage. There are other benefits too, in a bit of a rush at the moment though, as I'm trying to get as many carbs down my throat - got to squat 200kg for 3 today. Wish me luck!
