Thanks for this. I tried switching my (slow) wingers to attacking playmaker and defensive winger respectively, and I actually picked up a couple of points (4 out of 9).

My approach in previous FMs have been to overspend on my wage budget by picking up far too many good players on freebies, and then flogging 5 or so squad players during the winter transfer period - recouping more than I'd spent on hiring them but keeping the majority of the first 11 in tact. this doesn't seem to work in this version. I tried offloading about £500,000 of my league 1 squad during the summer and ended up getting about £45,000 for them all.

At the moment I'm almost 40% over my wage budget :eek:
 
Trundle just got a Hat-Trick for me against Brighton, He might be 34 but christ, Bargain of the season, also banged in about 7 goals in Pre-Season :D

what was your transfer/wage budget in your first season? just trying to figure out who has any money to spend in league two
 
Im looking for some help on my FM11 game. Im playing as Crewe for now, signed 1 free player, Terry Dixon. He seems a decent striker, so hes staying. Changed formation to 4-4-2 as 4-3-3 seemed to not work well. I am now after 2 decent midfielders (R and L) I tried to sign Chris Shuker but he didn't want a contract.

Any hints/tips on which R/L midfielders to pick up?

What sleep are you surviving on? Anyone lost their (real) job yet? :D

I've done 34.9 hours since last Friday evening. Roughly about half way through season 2. Usually up till 4 or 5am.
 
Just noticed another bug. Now you can hover over the goal icons in the bar at the bottom of the ingame view to see who scored.....except it seems to pick random players occasionally who haven't scored :confused:
 
average attendance for manu 86600. not bad :p


anyone know what each of the special focus areas in match preperation affect?

trying to get the formation bar full its only half way with the rest of them full.

team blend hasnt affected it.

Anyone else getting annoyed by player demands? Kevin doyle has one decent season and asks for a better contract so i agree only for him not to accept less than 90k a week!!! Well as you might of guessed he is now transfer listed for being a ignorant git.

I'm currently playing through my second season as Celtic FC. I won the league and Scottish Cup double in the first season and brought in some gems.

Macheda on loan absolutely destroys the SPL.
Fazio from Sevilla is the best 500k you will ever spend.
Ochoa is a top class Goalkeeper.
