Call of Duty: Black Ops

I love the theatre mode, takes abit of fiddling around with to get clips stitched together properly but man it's great being able to invite mates into a lobby then show them videos of me ballistic knifing them through the face!! :D
 
I'm really enjoying the game so far. It feels very 'full' and a lot of it is very well thought out. It's great having little mini games tucked away in the very polished menu screen. I like the ability to play only local games. The MP for me is working very well so far (apart from some network issues - I'm getting 1 game before I have to re-search for one).

I also had a quick blast on single player, literally the first mission, and it looks and plays very smooth despite the lower resolution.

All in all, very happy.

Only level 11 on MP so far, but I'm enjoying using the Enfield with a tube. It's my kind of gun.
 
2 things I'd liked changed or fixed:

1. Matchmaking with a party... so many drop outs and putting people into random games/their own lobby. took ages to get a game going with mates lat night :(

2. Dont include previously played map in match vote. Had to play boom town 3 times in a row last night then another twice in a row after that. Not everyone seems to have noticed the voting in the bottom left of the corner. Also seems stupid to include the same map 3 times in a row in the vote when youve played it twice...

Oher than that am liking it so far, although there are plenty of campers still but cest la vie...!
 
I've stopped myself from playing MP until I finish SP purely because I like to discover new weapons in SP first. Thinking about it though I should get my backside in multi since there's probably already people with rank 50 and I'll be lagging behind.
 
I found out that flack jacket really is very good. Certainly when playing DOM with you lot on here. You can lie down next to a capture point and not even worry about a frag or whatever being thrown in:D
 
something i noticed they added and i thought was good,is on search and destroy The Markers for the bomb like A and B when you look down you sights they fade away and dissapear,was always annoying on cod4 and mw2 when your trying to shoot sum1 near bomb but all you can see is a big Green A.

Bad thing i noticed which i am not sure if it was done or purpose is,you cannot hear anyone defusing bomb,even if your sitting right next to it.I suppose people will say well its a good thing if your not hiding next to it and just come running out when you hear it open,i just prefered it when you could hear the case open.
 
There are a few posts on the cod forums about the lack of bomb defusing sound. I think treyarch are looking into that as well.
 
Started playing this at around half 4 yesterday, I was finished by midnight :S lol where did my game go? lol Gonna go throught again on hardest diffuculy and try get the achievements, then move on to multiplayer.
 
i was playing single player last night and was enjoying the mission where your in the boat,looking for a plane,and when i found the plane,i parked up on the banks of the river,the other guys jumped out ,i jumped some how missed the bank of the river,and fell down the gap between the boat,ended up swimming around for 20 minutes but couldnt get ashore,was stuck between the rocks and the boat.
