I don't get this. I'm 1st season Boro, predicted 6th and have expectations of playoffs. Am 1st by a mile, get into league cup semis (above expectations) and draw Chelsea. Nice.

1st leg at Stamford Bridge. Get a goal wrongly disallowed in 1st minute, and go on to lose 2 - 1. I thought it was a brilliant result and an away goal for a strong home leg. The fans?

It's not a bug, well not strictly speaking. If you select any individual player to modify their settings, once you leave the tactics screen it just doesn't default back to the overall formation (which it probably should tbh) the player remains selected. You can deffinately unselect the player, don't recall how I did it though, will have a look in a minute see if I can remember how I did it.

The problem with this element of the game is that there's no context for the comments whatsoever. Did you manage to scrape a draw when your team looked dead at half time? Rest players because your next game was far more important? Have injuries to key players? Unfortunately the game takes none of this into account.
 
Yeah that annoys me too. I am Hereford just got to the Premiership and my board love, fans adore me yet a 0-0 draw away at Old Trafford is seen as a bad result.

Seems to be the standard response neither happy nor upset about the result, but they have badly worded it.
 
There's no direct way to unselect the highlighted player as far as I can tell, sorting by one of the tabs at the top (pkd, position, condition etc) does the job though. As long as no player is highlighted when entering the tactics screen it should default to formation view. I must admit this annoyed me for quite a few games until I worked out how to get rid of it.
 
I get stupid things like that as well.


Had an FA Cup game, league game then CL game in the space of 8 days or something silly, so I basically fielded a reserve team to play Burnley in the FA Cup and drawn 1-1 with them. Fans were disappointed and concerned with the result! Really annoying.
 
I've had the fans saying they want Van Der Sar and O'Shea brought back into the team, which makes me think at times the game simply picks a couple of players who don't play regular and bases the suggestion against your recent results, because neither of those players should be anywhere near my current first 11.
 
half way through the season my tactic is starting to work and im on a run of 7 wins in a row now.

sitting 2nd in the table, 4 points behind with a game in hand.

VDS, scholes and nistelrooy all announced their retirement for end of season.

Weirdest thing iv come across is that a player can no longer with player of the month and young player of the month in the same month...

Got Kieran Agard on a free loan from Everton to Burton Albion and he got 6 goals in 5 games with a rating of 7.98 (at the age of 20) which was mile better than the 21 year old who got young player of the month...

Have also noticed the fans not really getting the context of results (typical fans really) got a 2-2 draw away at Torque which I was pleased with (their striker got a second yellow for diving which you dont see in FM much and I had someone sent of for a terrible tackle, their winner was a quality 30 yarder too) but as I recovered from 1-0 down to get to 2-1 then concede in the last min no one was that pleased! Wish the board wasnt so linked to the ignorant fans

Oh and the most irritating bug iv come across is when you have match details open in the game, say you have your teams ratings and motivation out for every game (makes it a lot better for me to see how people are doing over the game) the game now no longer links it to which team you are, it bases which ones are opened by default on if you opened them home or away (and sticks with the home or away side) for no reason!!! Fm10 could keep it on the same team :(

had a great match away to juventus, they took a 2-0 lead inside of 30 mins, kept it till 75 mins were i scored 2 in quick succession to bring it back to all even, queue everyone behind the ball sitting tight for the last 15 mins :p

2 away goals and the 2nd leg at OT thank you :)

playing the 2nd leg now and took an early 1-0 lead.

it ended 4-2 with dzeko getting a hatrick and me keeper saving a penalty :)

6-4 on agg.

I just signed a 37 year old Beckham for backup. His stats, excluding physical, are going to tear the SPL to shreds.

Even I tried to get him in the Premiership (as a Euro Cup qualifying team) and he wanted £30k!

He went off and joined Ipswich in the Championship though :p
