Do you personally know anyone who has been diagnosed or have you been diagnosed with a severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc.?
 
I have a couple of family members who've had spells in the local mental hospital, nothing major though, suicide attempts stemming from chronic depression mainly.
 
Yes, and mental illness is like any other physical illness, with the right treatment it will get better, we just choose to ignore it and label people
 
I suffer with depression, and have been medicated for it in the past. I think I also suffer with anxiety, but have never bothered to have it diagnosed.

The autistic spectrum test that knocks around would you believe I'm big time autistic, but I think I'm just utterly socially retarded, but who knows really.
