I noticed a level 15 prestige player today, turns out there are already hacked Ranked servers

I thought the whole point of locking it down to one server provider and giving admins limited controls was meant to prevent this?

Thing is, I didn't really say a word on there, I said "hmmm" and "nowt", that's it. If I offended anyone then I'm sorry for that, but as far as I'm aware I didn't say anything lol. If you have any server logs to contradict what I have said feel free to post them. I would have owned up if I was being lippy.

I play as [HaX] illicit, an extension of the clan name banter As above I can vouch for Locky. Is there any way that someone can pull the recording so we can see what actually went on?

Just played my first lag free game, apart from killcam, but meh, was pretty good fun tbh. Changed that sys_1024 to 4096, seemed to fix it for me.

'Seemed' being the operative word, ie. placebo effect as the game changes it back to 1024 again itself

I'll give it a bash tonight thegoon and if it fails i'll get you added to steam. Need to get some decent faviroutes sorted for a bit of consistency in the servers.

I'm like you though i'm thoroughly enjoying the game. Theres some aspects to the cod series i aint mad on but different game modes usually solve my issues.

I still love more tactical games like battlefield as well, but for some fast paced action i enjoy cod. Just wish i had more time to play it. Between full time job, freelance and a family theres just not enough hours in the day.

Right got the bottom of the situation with the ban....

I think the whole [HaX]Locky situation was a bit of confusion our end, It seems i was under the impression that you'd be a dick all day to people and our admin on the server, I then came in to see you pull some extremely dodgy flick shooting, we've all taken time to study youtube clips of hack so we can spot them + the fact the tag didn't help. I told one of our admins to put a temp ban on you, usually people will post on our forums if they were banned. Looking back it was me who was at fault should spoken to the admins in more details, this again is a rare thing and apologies for making you look like a dick!!

Again we just try to keep our servers clean and happy, i hope you understand and there are no hard feelings.

We had a guy come in to our server yesterday, not sure what prestige he was but he was telling our admins to do something to the server which would give people 50k exp a kill.

Needless to say he was told to jog on.

As swifty55 said in the following post, changed the config file located in /players to:

seta sys_sysMB "4096"

Didn't notice any lag in that game though. If the lag comes back again I'll let you know. Tried numerous other fixes which seemed to improve but not fix the problem, so could be a mixture of all the fixes, or as you say, could be the placebo effect.

Go and look at your config file again and I bet it's changed back to 1024 as if by magic

It is baffling if Treyarch have hard coded the game to use <1GB of RAM in this day and age :shakes head:

A way round this would be to make the file read only, but don't know what other issues this may cause.

Jungle map I said the words vertakill Hmmm and he said what I said nowt.

That is GPU memory, not system memory

I am sorry, but I don't think "seta sys_sysmb relates to your system ram, its more down the ram you have on your gfx card.

Its even right below were it details your gfx card name.

I think your right, I forced it to 4096MB and monitored what the game was doing and it detected 1280MB on my VRAM (GTX470 SLI) then spat out a message about rounding available VRAM to 1024MB and changed the cvar value to 1024MB straight after.

In MW1 tho it definitely seems to be set according to physical RAM.
