see its going fairly cheap here and there, anyone got one of these? was thinking about grabbing it for my 2nd pc, currently have an intel in my main rig which is great

The patriot IS a good drive and as per the other thread the only issue is that Patriot is not providing any firmware updates for it.

seems like a good option, if you google 'Patriot Inferno 120GB SSD review' all very positive and some side by side reviews, i paid £139 for 120gb im well pleased

Who ever gets theirs first, please check if you get hard drive activity light on case/laptop working. Providing this is fitted as the sole HDD in system.

why do they need updates? dont think my intel has had a firmware update for over a year, it only came out a few months back

Just in case issues are found; which is possibel with new-(ish) technology; would they fix them?

Just checking that's only with the SSD installed? Don't want you to say, oh I forgot to disconnect my spare mechanical drive
