BenQ XL2410 120Hz 3D LED official thread

I do not know wether to get one of these and replace my HP LP2475w for gaming or get a HP ZR30w but with the Benq i can go for a gtx580 too(have 5870 at the moment but the 580 for 3D) and still use less cash than the 30 inch but the image quality will not be anywhere near as good i guess yet the playing point of view would be quite a bit better than current.

Well hopefully the BenQ XL2410T should come down in price towards the end of the month as it reaches something approaching 'proper' retail availability. You'll be waiting a long time for any 27 inch 120Hz '3D' monitors as none are currently in the pipeline.

Looking forward to the reviews... im in desperate need of a monitor now ive sent my other one back! Just hope i can hold off long enough.... if OC wasnt such a huge price jump for the XL2410T compared to other sites i would have ordered one by now, but £50 is just too much..

Totally agree,
unfortunately

I'd wait and see what the BenQ is like. The 30" won't look miles better because although the res is higher the screen is also that much bigger. It'll also be that much more taxing on your framerates with the 5870.

I'd get the smaller monitor and the 580, which will blitz nearly every game out there and give you 3D on the side as well. 23.6" or whatever the BenQ has is still pretty immersive if you're sat close. With a 30" you'd probably have to sit back a bit to take it all in.

i dont understand why the benQ monitor has so little reviews, it seems like its a great monitor. You never know whats coming though, do you think samsung are having another one in the pipeline?

It has so few reviews because their PR department doesn't have it in their labs yet. I have first dibs on it hopefully next week.

I have just bought one and after coming from a 16:10 PVA panel i was slightly concerned about what i was letting myself in for,

After setting up the Benq, the default FPS mode was terrible in windows, but having tweaked the photo preset, i can honestly say i am very impressed and use this as the default setting for windows and gaming.

Gaming is just fantastic, and the colours are great in this mode

It just feels so smooth in 120Hz mode and i have no isues with back light bleed or anything really.

Its really nice to be able to turn off vsync in fallout new vegas and cod black ops, and marvel at how well they run without any noticable lag or tearing.

My only negative is that even though this screen is 23.6", it looks much smaller than my 24" screen it replaced

this is super expensive compared to other sites that have it listed at under £250 i think £70 premium for having it a week or 2 earlier is abit ridiculous maybe £270 or £280 but £320 is crazy

Hi,

I could not resist and I bought the Benq!

For me it's really good.
Solid, great design, the 120 hz fantastic!
The only downside is that they don't have set the correct values for the color of the screen.
The monitor is in FPS mode that is too bright and annoying under Windows!
Foto mode is better...
I suggest when you set the monitor in this way:
Screen Mode: Standard
Brightness: 35
Contrast: 60
Sharpness: 3
AMA (overdrive): Enabled
RGB
Red: 98
Yellow: 89
Blue: 90

Waiting to see the exact calibration made by flatpanelshd!
The review will be every other day as well as on pcmonitors.org

;):D

well it seems like the '120hz monitor' to have right now, but then again no one really knows whats coming round the corner.

@Myrmeleon , did you buy it this week? from overclockers ? :O

I bet this benQ will still hold its own in the 120hz division. Eagerly awaiting PCM2's full review on it though! x)
